Elektrik Piano serial question

    So with the new update you have to enter the new serial in service centre.

    How exactly do you do this?

    I'm struggling to enter it and make it work, so any help is massively appreciated.

    Hi Johnny,
    I am having trouble as well. It says that the update manager will have a link that will send you a new serial number, but I see no such thing. I've been registered for about a month, and really, really hating upgrading these things.

    Start the Service Center; it will tell you EP needs to be activated. Click on next; the new page allows you to enter your serial number. Do so, and click next to finish.

    Same Problem

    I'm having the same problem. When I clicked on the link to get my new serial number it said my product was not registered even though it is. Now I can't proceed with the Online Activation Assistant because I can't get the serial number emailed to me.

    Here is what I did.

    1. bought EP
    2. installed and registered EP 1.0
    3. Downloaded the update EP 1.5
    4. Installed 1.5
    5. it launched a page for me to request my new serial number
    6. Clicking on the link said my product wasn't registered.

    I feel like I'm going in a circle.

    It sounds like you need to contact NI's tech. support. Have your previous ser.# handy when you contact them.

    I contacted them a week ago and received an email that stated that I would get my new S/N in a mass mailing but I still haven't received it. Great customer support, a week to get a serial number and it's still not here.

    Same problem

    I bought EP from Digital Village yesterday, updated to 1.5 and went through the process of putting in the serial number, then it said I needed a new one for 1.5, but its stuck with my old S/N so I can't even demo the bleeding thing! I called Tech support this morning and was told that every friday they send out the serial numbers, but still nothing... People saying they've been waiting a week for it worries me...

    Hello guys:

    even when you´ve already installed the 1.5 version, in KORE continues appearing greyed..it means that does not work...
    they must appeared in black...
    4 times doing claims, but i didn´t get no answer...

    KORE uses the 1.1 version of EP; it recognizes the 1.5 plugin but doesn't associate it with the .ksds. Also, if you're a Mac user, KORE works much better with the VST versions of the other NI plugins.

    Run 1.1 as a standalone and make sure your library path's correctly listed in the options menu. Reboot, and start KORE. Rescan your plugins and rebuild your database.

    Now after only 11 days I get an email that says my version of EP is an educational version and I have to pay $25 to get version 1.5.

    E.P 1.5 Corrupted library

    Hello Again:

    I have done all the steps on that you have commented to me twice.. but at the moment to open the electric piano in KORE (as plugin) appeared the error ..Bad or corrupted library. and KORE shut off. I think that the library is not installed correctely. Should I desinstall again and try to install again? (It would be the third time) have any influence the Kontact 2 player? Because when I make the Scaning..there´s something wrong with the Kontact 2. Please let me know and many thanks in advance....

    Hi nnaseto,

    does EP 1.5 run in stand-alone mode? that would be a good test to determine if the library was installed correctly.

    if that runs fine, I would test the VST version in another host like Cubase. you can also go into your VST folder and move out all files out but ElektrikPiano15.dll. that way you can check if the error originates from another plug-in like you suggested below.

    note: the KSDs in Kore do not run with EP 1.5 - we will release updated KSDs shortly.

    Thanks for your fast reply.
    My KORE is installed in a MAC OS X. There´s not a VST folder as the PC´s in a program files ( I think so)
    is a new generation of MACBOOK with a macintel procesor.
    I was waiting till NI send all the universal binary for update it.. all the universal binary was already installed without problems excep the new version of electric piano 1.5. Hope this info will help you to help me... Hope so!

    in this case it would be best to use our online support form! that way my colleagues can get all the details about your setup.

    your scenario works in general so we need to find out where the problem lies.

    upfront you could still try if the stand-alone version works!
