I’m trying to switch the shift button on my X1 Mk2 to toggle (or latch) rather than the default gate. I’ve been into Controller Editor set a new template and made the change on the pages tab. How do i get that to now take effect in Traktor Pro 2?

When i start Traktor and have selected a/b, by pressing the browse rotary encoder, shift is still a gate. I’ve tried exporting a .ncc and/or template files in controller editor file but there seems no way of importing those into Traktor.

Page 138 of the controller editor manual explains the shift gate/toggle setting but i cannot work out how to make it take effect in Traktor. Also there doesn’t seem to be any reference to shift mode in the controller manager section of Traktor preferences.

    I’m sure i’m missing something obvious here…. :(

Unfortunately not. There is an option in traktor preferences to set toggle shift when you connect an X1.... but it's been seemingly removed for the newer X1 Mk2.

Is this still the case that there is no way to make the Shift a toggle button. Was intentionally done?
