    Hey,

I noticed with the new Beta 3.4.0.150 that I couldn't load same tracks.
I compared the differences to other tracks who are working just fine and the only difference was the *encoded with* description.

So, all of the tracks that I couldn't load have been encoded with Lavf58.20.100.

    Best regards
    Sebastian Fritsch

    Hi Sebastian Fritsch ,

Can you attach one of the tracks here?

    Thank you.

Are we discussing mp3 files? If yes, not being able to read mp3 files is a major issue I think.

Last year we found how to DETECT mp3 files that produce a 26 milliseconds shift on cues/loops when converting from traktor to rekordbox and vice-versa.

Such files would open on either software, but different decoders would disagree on definition of the “zero point”. This produced the mentioned 26ms shifts.

Among many other corner cases, this includes LAVC57.10-encoded mp3 files:

This research was validated and picked up by two collection converters and by MIXXX.

dj_estrela Thank you for the information. If the Mp3 is encoded with an encoder which is currently not supported by Traktor it won't load the file. I will bring it up with our Product Owner to see if support for this encoder can be prioritised.
