    Hello Reaktor Users

I have the doubt of the automation done with ensemble of standalone. For instance, "Pitch" knob at the center of the screen moves automatically when Newschool_r3.ens starts performing. In what kind of setting is this automation possible?

Please teach if there is forum data that did the same discussion as this question in the past.

I haven't played with the original Newskool in a long time, but I'm guessing what you're probably seeing is the pitch knob automated by the Newskool sequencer.

I think what you see is a know, which is automated by a midi cc messages. You can have a LFO for example, which will send midi cc messages (wireless) to the knob. It's done by a controller module (midi out in the menu), you also need to activate midi in in properties of the knob you want to automate and assign same cont/note number as in the controller module.

This trick is used in very many ensembles. If a knob is moving itself, you can be sure that it has midi in active and a controller numer. There must be a controller module, with the same number somewhere in the structure, which is sending automation to this knob.

yep. Only a controller assigned to recieve midi whether external or internal will display graphic feedback.

No, no. That was Reaktor 3. Luckily, in R4 we don't have to use MIDI at all internally in an ensemble. Any panel control has an "internal connections" page in it's properties pane where you can set it to receive from any other module with a "internal connections" page. Most commonly used as a send module is, I think, the Controller module *with MIDI disabled*.

Two reasons why this is better:
    1) you don't have to reserve one controller # for each thing you want to automate
    2) you're not restricted to the 7 bit MIDI range (only 128 values)

    Thank you for the answer.
The thing that two knobs synchronize has been understood. It was a thing to make MIDI cc (cont/note) of a knob that moved automatically and a geostationary knob the same.
Moreover, I learnt the thing that was not in MIDI cc when setting it to "From" and "To" by "Connections" that existed in properties related and said that two or more knobs was able to synchronize.
Controller (Module->MIDI Out->Controller) tied to LFO, and the method of specifying MIDI cc in controller's property was learnt.

I wish to express my gratitude to ewistrand, arturnowak, Sicklecell666, and dhk.

    Thank you.
