Envelops!! ANY soft-synth ever done it better than Absynth?

Just dropped back in on Absynth after a long absence and re-amazed all over again with what a monster it is. So, in the history of soft-synths since, I wonder:

Has any other soft-synth still around ever even come close to having as rich and complex an envelop control panel as Absynth5?

Know any soft-synths that could be said to have been inspired by this aspect of Abs., either by emulation or by simplification or streamlining without really losing any of this sort of power? I sense that since Absynth, nothing else has really tried to out-do it in this respect; subsequent efforts have largely been in the "forget-all-that, THIS is plenty" direction instead. Am I wrong?

Anybody ever heard of anybody anywhere trying to create a generic MIDI CC modulating-with-envelops device that approaches what Absynth has, in order to apply this sort of control to other devices?

I think you get the jist of my interest from these questions; any sort of comment related to envelop-superpowers or substitutes very welcome!
