EP1.5 R4 update problem

Other thing; Elektrik Piano, Kontakt 2 & 3 are working fine in Plug-in version with Digital Performer !

I have just had to reinstall my system after a crash and as such have had to reinstall Elektrik Piano; Here are my findings:-

1. Install Elektrik Piano 1.0 and all the updates - Everthing works fine.
2. Install EP1.5 R4 - The player will not load any samples and Kontakt 3 complains about being unable to find a registration.
3. Uninstalled the latest - EP1.5 Update.

I always keep any old update installers, so I tried something different.

1. I installed the very first EP1.5 Update.
2. I then Installed the second EP1.5 Update.
3. And finally I installed EP1.5 R4.

Now here is the interesting thing - following this procedure the samples are not loaded into the player - however the patches load perfectly into Kontakt 3.

As I always use K3 to play my Elektrk Piano this install be it imperfect is fine for me.

I hope this sheds a little more light on the problem both for fellow users and the NI team.

I'm having the same issues. Just got a new Macbook and I had to reinstall Electik Piano. After the latest update and opening via Logic and Live I'm not getting any sound. I'm able to see the presets and select them. After I select the preset the screen which says Empty changes for a split second and says something but then goes right back to saying Empty. Looks like it almost loads but then doesn't. I have all of my libraries on an external drive. Prior posts don't seem to help my situation, anybody have a resolution to this?

 

I too am having similar, unexpected issues.
I have recently purchased an iMac, latest generation, and having to reinstall Elektrik piano, I am going thru' major trouble: won't even install 1.5. I have downloaded the 1.5 update (both R2 and R4) and the R2 update will NOT even run: the installer will crash. Since the R4 will look for an 1.5 folder, I can't play my Elektrik piano.

 

Update: I solved my problem. I noticed - digging further on NI knowledge base - that there was a patch to be installed for systems sporting Leopard to make the original 1.5 update work. So, I re-installed ALL the Elektrik piano software a-gain (using the above mentioned patch) and it all worked wonderfully.
Encountered another problem. This is due to the Mbox 2 pro though. My pianos will only work for a few seconds IF the output chosen is the Mbox 2 pro (with the built in output, it all works wonderfully). I suspect some of my Digidesign core audio are corrupted after some installation. So this is an other issue.


Nothing ever comes easily.
