    Dear all can anyone help please? I know this has come up on the forum, but I have read the suggestions and still am having no luck, unless I am doing something wrong.

    I have loaded Akoustic Piano and all has installed properly. However when opening the interface either in Cubase or the standalone instrument, I have problems. If I click on and try to load any one of the four pianos, I get a message box saying 'ERROR: could not load sample (unsupported format)'.

    It will not load practically any of the samples except just a few, if I keep clicking YES in the error box about eighty times. This eventually loads about a handfull of samples spread over the keyboard. This applies to each one of the four pianos. I have copied the contents of all the DVDs to my desktop and run the installation from there. This seems to go well and all the library samples are in the right place on my drive. I have checked all the samples and they all seem to be there. I have uninstalled several times and even dragged or copied the library sample over to my destination drive manually. I have also tried both 24 bit and 16 bit samples but none will load.

    Could anyone please advise (as basically as posible) on what I can do and why the samples are not being recognised. I just want to load up my pianos with more than five playable keys!

    Very many thanks

    Hi Alexi,

    normally the problem is missing samples not wrong format. hm, did you copy the samples by hand from the DVDs? if not I would advise to try this and also a different DVD drive.

    - In case you get errors regarding missing samples when loading
    pianos, please copy the respective sample folders manually from
    the DVDs to your hard disk.
    E.g. to replace the 24 bit samples for the Boesendorfer
    * Insert DVD1 into your DVD drive
    * Copy the Boesendorfer folder located in the "Samples
    folder" on the DVD into the “Samples folder” located in your
    AKOUSTIK PIANO installation directory
    * When prompted, replace all existing files

    Note: for 16 bit samples, copy the Boesendorfer folder in
    the Samples16 folder into the Samples folder on your hard disk (do
    not rename the target folder to Samples16!).

    AKOUSTIC PIANO Disk 1 folder structure:
    * Samples/Boesendorfer
    * Samples16/Boesendorfer
