Error Decompressing KONTAKT 4.2.2 OSX ZIP

    I just tried to update my Kontakt program (version 4.1.3.4125) via the Service Center. Here the update "KONTAKT 4.2.2 OSX Application and Library Update" is shown to me. After downloading it the decompressing failed.

    So i tried it via Support website but here i got the same error message.

    Whats wrong?

    Try downloading again, and preferably use a download manager. The original file is definitely fine (I happened to download it today and it downloaded fine) so something got corrupted during your download, or it didn't complete.

    Hi David,

    I downloaded it several times yesterday, both via Service Center and directly from the web, and it doesn't work..

    I'll give it another go today and see if it works. BTW, I downloaded a bunch of other updates from Service Center, and they were all fine.

    Just tried it again, no luck. The file won't decompress..:(
    ---
    The thing is, I can't access the Kontakt Factory Library now!

    I believe the reason is that I downloaded the latest Library Update, and it decompressed and installed fine. But as I can't decompress the Kontakt 4 file, I'm stuck with an older version of the program..

    The info on the Factory Library says it was created by Kontakt 4.2.0.255, but I am still on 4.10.3681, which is why (I think) I get error messages when trying to load those sounds:"The patch could not be loaded (unknown error)".

    Same problem here running Mac OS X 10.6.4.
    ---
    I downloaded again from the NI website (not Service Center) and it mounted the disk image and installed just fine.

    Looking forward to faster load times.

    I downloaded it from both sources with the same decompressing error.
    ---
    Maybe it's the version of the OS? I'm running 10.6.6.

    I've been in touch with NI:s tech support, and they said it was due to server problems. They are working on it right now, and it should be fixed by tomorrow..

    Let's keep our fingers crossed then!

    Download still not working! :(

    Come on NI, how difficult is it to upload a new zipped file from your master?

    I was just about to order Scarbee Funk Guitarist, when I realised that I needed Kontakt 4.2 in order to run it, but I CAN'T DOWNLOAD IT!

    I got this last week updating on Kontakt, Massive and Guitar Rig. The strange thing is the Service Center put /exe files and zip files in my NI folder. The zip files were all all corrupted. The exe's worked fine. Maybe you guys need to check and see if someone is hacking your server.

    Perhaps you didn't understand. I used NI Service Center last week. It said there were updates. I clicked download. When it finished there were 2 files each of Massive. Guitar Rig , and Kontakt = an .exe and a .zip file of each. I didn't understand why this happened, but I tried to decompress the zips and all were corrupted. The .exe's worked fine and installed the updates, but I still don't know why I got 2 files of each update, or why the zips were corrupted..
    I don't think people have used download managers since the 1990's when we were all on modems.:angry:

    Interesting, I'm on PC and the zips were good for me and the exe corrupt!

    You got them too? See. that's strange. Now, I'm new and this was only my second update. But the first time I updated, all I got was .exe files.
