    Hi all,
I have a strange one I can't see an answer for on the forums here. I have Kore Player running in Logic 8 and whenever I go to open up one of the original sounds, I get an error that says Error Loading and then the path. The path is good, the files are there. I have removed the program and resinstalled to no avail. The strange thing is, other Packs work. I can access all the new sounds I have installed.

So to sum up, original sounds do not work, new ones do. I'd like to have access to the originals too if I can!
    Help!

Are you using the latest player version (2.0.4)?

    How about in standalone?

Run the player as a standalone; it should find the original content. Reboot your system, and rescan your plugins in Logic.

Ok, I figured out how to alter the

path in the standalone, but no matter what I set the path to, the original sounds still don't work. The sample content is located in my user/documents folder. What should the path be pointing to specifically?

    Thanks for your help, btw!

It should end in \Kore 2 sample content or whatever the folder's named on your system; I have Kore 2 as well and that's where the sample content installed on my system.

I definitely have it pointed there and get the same message. It seems to be having trouble finding the .ksd files. They are in the default location in Application support.
Here is the exact error message:
    Error loading Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:Native Instruments:Shared Content:Sounds:Libraries:Kore Player:Abyss Flower.ksd

This happens when I go to pull up the Abyss flowers sound. The .ksd file is there in that directory, but Kore Player is not finding it.

Abyss Flowers doesn't use samples; it uses the internal Massive plugin.

It almost sounds as if the player can't find its internal plugins. Let me ask a couple people...

Ah... I heard from a couple people.

    Try trashing your Soundpack.cache.

    This did the trick

though now it lists each of the original Kore files twice. One loads, one doesn't. I'm sure there is a way to delete the old set. Haven't had time to look yet, but that definitely worked.
    Thanks a million!

    Hi,

I'm having the exact same problem. Could you please tell me where I can find the cache file(s) you're referring to, on my mac?

    thanks in advance,
    Andrik

To fix these problems properly, you have to delete both koredb AND SoundPacks.cache. If only the SoundPacks.cache is deleted, the Kore Player will import a second set of the same sounds and you'll end up with the double sets problem.

    So, in order:

    - Shut down the Kore Player
    - Delete the two files
    - Restart the Kore Player

On XP (turn on "show hidden files and folders" in Windows' tool menu):

    Documents and Settings\*your user account*\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Kore Player
