Hi, after reading the thread about erasing core arrays I came up with this idea.

I have found myself somewhat dissatisfied with the sampler options in reaktor - I like the precision control you can get with the Sample Lookup, however found the lack of sample map support frustrating (all that navigating loop folders in the browser, drop and dragging etc can get quite tiresome). I also found sample maps to be limited because you can't seem to access more than 127 samples in a map.
What would be amazing is some kind of filesystem access module that could load files directly into core arrays (hoping for reaktor 6), but for now I have made this.

In this ensemble, the event table acts as the sample map, allowing potentially infinite samples per 'map' as each sample is simply added as an extra Y axis. On each Sample change, the event table audio data is shunted into a core array by an iterator module which is near-instantaneous, and it can be read from the array using similar Pos & A controls found in the sample lookup.

This effectively gives you a sample map based sample lookup, and it could be expanded with a 2nd event table to include bpm/time sig/pitch/key information about each sample in the map pretty easily.

    The problems with it are:
It is mono, i am not sure how to read stereo data from the event table (i do not think it is possible).
It has to 'guess' the sample file length by reading the audio data (although so far i havn't had any problems with it).
Samples longer than 23.7 seconds get cut due to the core array size limit (it'd be nice if this was removed for reaktor 6 too).

I thought i'd post it to see if anyone else thinks it is useful/can contribute ideas on how to improve it.
    Thanks,
    Ash

    Just found this thread.
I´d never expect that it was possible to use the Lookup filled with diffrent Samples.

My Question is it possible in Stereo?

    cheers
