    hey collegues!

i just got an offer to dj open air next saturday - which is lovely :)
now i wonder if my notebook will like the wet cold which is unfortunately normal in northern german april nights. what do you think? cause i don't want it to go mad while i'm playing ...

    cheers, katha

Well you want to be careful and follow some common sense.

Locally, Vancouver here has had several DJ's playing at anti-war demonstrations, either from the back of a truck or under a tent... and we get lots of rain. If they trust their turntable set-ups in these conditions I'm sure you'll be okay with your laptop... whoever's invited you to participate must have considered providing you with some form of shelter.

    Have fun!

    Hi

Trocken Vormittags leicht bewölkt, Nachmittags Sonne, Max Temperatur 15 Grad, Nachts was kälter, Luftfeuchte bei 38 %.

    Also keine Sorge keep

    thanks a lot, mates!
for the advice and the weather forecast! i'll be calm and safe now for saturday night. now all that there's left to do is some training in mixing, as i'll have to play ping pong with some vinyl-djs i'm afraid - and i'm not really good at that yet ... :(
    have a sunny day!

    hey!
well .. it turned out to be even different from what i had expected - the police turned up just as i had everything set up and was ready to take over and told us to stop the music unless we wanted the pa confiscated. well we didn't want that .. so my part of the gig finished before it had started :-(
but it was still a lovely night - and in which other country can you have a non-commercial open air in the city centre just some meters in front of the parliament and the chancellors office - with the police only turning up at three beceause the hospital nearby had complained about the noise?!!!
yes, technically spoken, my notebook behaved well, i was just a little irritated by the fine sand on the touchpad ..

    have nice day, katha
