    Hi,

I have a simple question which I guess requires a quite long answer, so sorry in advance. I hope someone will bother to answer anyway.
So I recently got EWQL Symphonic Choirs (+ WordBuilder), and I would like to use it within Sonar 6. I do not really know how to put together the things: WordBuilder appeared as a plugin, EWQL:SC appeared at soft synths, but I can no way make it work.
So: let's say I've got a midi file and I would like EWQL:SC sing it with words I've given in WordBuilder. I hope there's someone here who might know the answer or knows a place where I could find an answer.

    Thanks for replies in advance,

    Gierigh

Isn't there a set of instructions for Sonar use in the EWQLSC manual?

There are some I guess. However if I put it together like in the instructions, after applying WordBuilder it doesn't give out any sound.

I just got off the phone with EAST/WEST. I also have Symphonic Choirs (gold) and they told me that to run this program on a Mac Pro I need to purchase Kompact3 or wait until Nov-Dec. before they come out with a free download. Had I known this I would never bought this program. On the box it indicates it is compatable with a Mac 10.3 or greater.
BTW this Mac Pro Tower cost over $6,000. Now they are putting the blame on the dealer that I bought this $600 program from and don't want to assume any responsibilty. Where can I purchase a Kompact 3 and how much more do I have to sink into this $12,000 nightmare?

Well, I understand your frustration, but it really wasn't EastWest's fault; EWQLSC was released before Intel Macs were even announced (as far as I can tell) so the system requirements on the box were accurate for the time it was released -- but they didn't foresee an architectural shift in OS's.

For what it's worth, any software that says "Windows XP or better" doesn't necessarily mean it's compatible with Vista either...

You can crossgrade to Kontakt 3 since you are a registered user of a Kontakt Player-powered product. The price was $269 to go to Kontakt 2, and I assume it would be the same or almost the same to go to Kontakt 3.

Kontakt 3 is a powerhouse of a program; you'll get a lot of use out of it in addition to being able to use it as an EWQLSC engine.

I would suggest contacting EastWest Tech Support. They are the ones who "own" EWQLSC -- they simply license the Kompakt playback engine from NI
