I find it quite upsetting that Kompakt and EWQLSO Platinum are fixed to work with OSX yet Silver Edition is not. How hard can it be to take the same engine and make it work for each incarnation?

And I also object to the marketing departments claim that "As of the NAMM show 2004 all NI synthesizers, samplers, effects, and DJ tools are completely compatible to Mac OS X." This is simply not true! I still can not run Absynth, Reaktor, and the afore-mentioned EWQLSO Silver as plugins in DP4.

EWQLSO is planned for an OS X update on Monday, barring any last minute problems found. All three versions (Gold, Silver, Platinum) will be released/updated.

Not to split hairs, but EWQLSO is an EastWest product, not a NI product (even though it utilizes an NI engine) so NI's claim that they're arrived in OS X is a valid one. And Absynth and Reaktor DO work in OS X -- it's just their AU plug-ins that have problems with DP. :)

I'm not making light of the situation; just mentioning that, by the letter of the law, the NI marketing is correct.

I know that both Absynth and Reaktor are due for updates that will fix the longstanding AU bugs. I acknowledge that it's taken a long time to fix. I do know that NI is aware of the issue and is planning to fix them shortly.

Meanwhile, as a workaround, I've successfully used SoundFlower (available free at cycling74.com) to route audio from Absynth (standalone) into DP, and it works perfectly. I haven't tried it with Reaktor yet but I would assume it would work just fine. I think I sent a message to the Absynth group with specific step-by-step instructions.
