Exporting from Sonar X3 does not follow the keyswitch changes

Starting with an original patch keyswitch, then setting a second patch KS in the middle of the song. On playing back, the second KS is picked up and plays correctly. However, when exporting (rendering) the audio to an MP3 or WAV (or anything) the second KS is ignored. Other plugins work correctly. Any theories?

Absolutely start the project with the default keyswitch you want to use laid down in piano roll. If it's not there, Kontakt can't know that's what you want when you render audio out - it only acts on last received keyswitch.

Did that. There is an initial KS at the start of the song, which is used during DAW playback. The second KS is also picked up and used later in the song during DAW play. But the switches seem to be ignored when exporting to a finished file

As I playback the song, I can see the switches switch the pattern correctly at the right point in the song (including at the beginning); but none of it sticks when I render??

    Mystery...

No idea... Works fine over here in Reaper. But also, can't see why it wouldn't work in some other DAW.
