I have a decent Dell laptop but have heard that it's best to load the Komplete 13 data onto an external hard drive. Not sure if I should get 1TB or 2TB size. Any brand/model recommendations? I want something good so I'm not afraid to pay for quality. Thanks.

    Hi robert,

I've always found Samsung to be a reliable brand for SSD drives.

You could pick up a dedicated external drive such as their T5 or T7 models, which are compact and come in various storage sizes.

Personally I have been purchasing their less expensive QVO drives, for example a 4TB Sata 2.5 was £354 from Amazon, although intended for internal use I simply pick up an external SSD caddy and plug it into my computer using either USB 3 or USB C.

external drives are of course limited by the speed of your connection ports, but I have not experienced any real load issues with the above methods.
