    Hi Everybody,

I was wondering if it could be possible to assign into K5, via the output section, an external (software) reverb such, let's say i.e., QL Spaces...

    And, if so, how?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

'Fraid not; only the Kontakt effects can be used in those slots.

But, you can route different instruments in Kontakt to different Output Channels and thence to different plug-in outputs. Then in your DAW, you can insert different FX, such as QL Spaces, onto the different plug-in outputs. Quite how this is done depends on the DAW you are using.

    Thank you, Dark Star.

It's not clear to me how to route different instruments in K5 to different output channels and then to different plug-in output...

    I use Cubase 8.

Loading Instrument Tracks I'd be able to select the individual channels in which "insert" the effect needed. But this could "cost" in terms of resources (Ram, etc...). I know there is a way to route selected channels (or tracks) into an FX track. But, I do not know how to proceed in order to create such a "shortcut".

Anyway, I've posted a thread on the Italian Cubase Forum. Maybe I'll get an answer...

I do not know Cubase so cannot help there. But within Kontakt you can create additional channels in the Output section then select any of those as the destination for the output from each instrument.

Have a look at 14.1 and 124.2 in the Kontakt Reference Manual, then 6,2 / Output Channel

I got the answer in an Italian Cubase forum. When I load Kontakt into my DAW, a VST channel is created into Cubase mixer. At this point, I can send into that channel all the effects I need.

    Thanks!
