I really like to combine Traktor and Maschine. Not to play tracks, just to play maschine combined with good fx and a looprecorder and sample decks.

I play my maschine project (1 song), then loop it in my loop recorder, copy this loop to my sample decks... and load a new project in Maschine....

This makes it possible for me, to play a live set with maschine, mixing new songs with recorded loops of the previous song.

for me F1 will give a lot of possibilities....

more people with the same idea?

do you use S2 or s4 with this setup?
i make my own music and trying to decide if (for the same price)
    i go for S2 plus maschine/ or S4
of course with the F1 coming out, things get fuzzier again..
can i ask if you everuse maschine as standalone ie. no computer?

    I use tech 1200s I don't use the s2/s4...

and that makes no sense. yes I use maschine stand alone but if there is no computer than there is no sound homie.

not sure I get your meaning... you do know that you HAVE to use a computer with maschine right?

i already have it planned out, I'm gonna buy an S2 during this deal, and then I'm gonna use Maschine to control 2 remix decks, and switch between the 2 with a button! F1 seems kinda worthless when you have a flexible midi controller with the same amount of pads.

    The pads are bright though

Quneo felt great, I have already had my hands on it, it's very thin. The pads actually felt really good, I was nervous about how they would feel but try are very usable. For the price I think it's a steal. All I know is they are still saying march is when the first shipment goes out (I'm guessing that means the last second in march ;) ) it is plastic but didn't feel über cheap, no moreso than something like the launch pad at least.

    Maschine

Well sometimes i want to work on a track without a computer.
Just for setting up loops, curtting etc. more like prep work.
I assumed i could use the on board display and listen with headphones.

Maschine or f1 seems to be the decision. S2 price drop doesnt make you think something else is afoot?

You can't, the Maschine device is just a controller and doesn't contain any of the hardware or software (CPU, RAM, Storage, Sound Interface, Operating System, Application Software) to enable this to happen.

Do we think a sample deck like section will be getting added to the next edition of maschine? Personally Id like to be able to use the Tracktor effects on maschines output busses.

My reasoning for not being scared:

    1. S2 recently came out.
    2. S2 only controls 2 decks

    With that said,

People who are buying the S2 will be looking for that extra control, and will feel like they are missing out on a lot of features on the program.(they are)

2 F1's will seem like the logical(and bright) choice to getting that extra control over those other 2 decks.

Whether a person buys a Maschine or 2 F1's, NI is set up for a little less than $600

    This = NI winning.

SO, I could be wrong of course, but either way I'm getting a Traktor controller(for pretty cheap) that will be useable until they completely mangle the software into something else(most likely won't happen)

    (I'm done)
