F1 Pads while playing stems

    I'm using the F1 for playing stems, and this may seem like a dumb question, but.. what are the pads for in this context?

    There's nothing about it in the manual, apart from the "shift" functions like pitch, fx and so on.

    I was hoping I could use them to trigger hotcues - which I guess I can do with a custom mapping, but I wanted to know what they actually should be used for.

    The pads are only used for stem LED feedback.
