usually with an external mixer, you would have the remix deck on a 3rd channel and prelistening from that channel on the mixer as usual.

since your mixer only has 2 channels and you have to route the audio through another deck channel, i'm not sure if you can do some trick to utilize traktors monitor function just for the remix decks.

assuming, you're using traktor scratch - what soundcard do you use?

the djm-t1 is the pioneer traktor ready mixer sound card included in mixer

seems like maybe i choose the wrong mixer cause i cannot figure how to route the deck c and d to anything but master out

    Sup Kraal,
I basicaly have the same set up Minus the F1. I did hesitate to upgrade to 2.5 due to all the negative vibes around it and Fortunately on my side things are still as smooth as it was with 2.1.2. That piece combines both the sound card and the x1 and F*#k S%@t, I love it.

I did not want to open a new Tread for that, but how do they work together F1 & T1 (beside the monitor issue)?
Is your system still stable as it was?
Did you have to do any tweeking?

My reason for asking is whenever I tried to map some needed function on my X1(e.g. Key knob and some other stuff) my default mapping always end up acting up (Specialy HotCues).

I will make the buy sometimes around end of July, but I am still working it on my mind on how I will make that baby work best for me.

    I'll appreciate your feedback,

    Thanks

i am happy with the combo.... there are a few things about the whole f1 workflow but not specific to the t1-f1 combo...i am thinking of adding my x1 to the whole set up or getting a second f1.... i have had some timecode issue but i am thinking those are needle related not software...cleaning the needle contacts seems to help.... but other than the monitor issue i would say it is a killer combo

yeah, but i assume it's the only answer. i dont see another possibility to preview but the normal cue buttons for deck a and b where you have to route deck c and d through in order to hear sth...

next step: 4 channel mixer ;)

did want to need a four channel mixer....... some what doesnt makes since to me ... the djm-t1 obviously has the cue routed... why do i not have access to route the sample/remix decks to the same output. i know it will be over top of deck a or b but that works

huh? you should be able to route the remix decks c/d "on top" of the a/b decks... you can do that in traktors preferences.

thats what i thought.... i will try again . and if i am stuck i will post a few screen shots of the output routing page

ok seems like monitoring is handled 'inside the mixer' not through software.....

ok now things are looking even worse for me... even if i share the same channels with the remix decks on same as the djm-t1 ... the main issue is you CAN NOT monitor the f1 with the mute button on or the volume fades down....

after talking with pioneer the cue of the djm-t1 is handle internally within the mixer not through software... so the combo of the F1 and the djm-t1 is not a good choice..... guess i will sell my f1 cause it is pointless without being able to monitor.

    i dont understand this.

if your crossfader is e.g. on the right, you could prelisten deck a or c meanwhile - if you have routed deck c through deck a (i.e.: output deck c set to channel 0/1)?

what you cant is that you have 2 tracks running and prelisten a third, but you wouldnt be able to do that with vinyl neither in that moment...

well this is traktor not just vinyl :) at some point i would think technology advances what can be done with a standard set up........ but the main issue is i dont want remix decks connected to cross fader trough the mains

ok, but then it's perfectly logical that you need another free channel (as long as you're using an external analog mixer)... isnt it? ;)

not saying anything is wrong with the logic.... i just though with the mixer itself it would have routing to the cue since it has the remix decks available. but all and all it is just something that i am sure planning and workflow i can still do what i want to do. making sure grids are right and proper lables. and just as a side note instead of selling mone on ebay i purchased a second one :)
