I am seeing a lot of folks here asking for the F1 without bundled software. While NI may not care to find out how many people there are, I (because I happen to agree they should do it) would like to know.
    So I created a petition

Let me be clear I'll buy 2 of these either way. :D

No incentive for NI to do what this 'petition' asks, if the signees are going to buy them regardless - that's pretty funny.

If I was in charge of NI, the next time this situation should arrise, I would charge everybody for the software update instead of giving it out for free. That would shut up those who complain about getting a free license for software that they already own. Kind of like when the S4 came out.

I don't think you get it, it's a matter of curiosity. I only created a petition so that should many people want it, it would be one. I think perhaps you might need that grip. :D

It's interesting how the people here ragging on it, never bothered to read that this is about finding out how many would sign, not about actual signatures or about it bearing any weight what so ever.

I should expect those folks with their entrenched inferiority complexes who can't read an entire sentence to start making fun of something they don't actually understand just to null the pain of the blood dripping on their sweater vests. But it's funny here at the NI forums where I have so many great interactions I don't.

When did bloody sweater vests come into play? Did I miss something?

PS - Your petition is dumb.

I stopped reading after this sentence. Does that make me inferior? Probably!

However, it doesn't take away from the fact that your petition is really dumb!

You're preaching to the wrong flock fryer tuc

Uh maybe Most that may want just the controller are not forum members or rarely even check the forum. I betcha if this petition was put up on the main site it would be overwhelming that previous owners of the software want it for less. Really offer something for less and you get bites.

Also in NIs favor this will more than likely be advertised and sold as the package as really the only way to do it. Selling just the controller may confuse some and end up with the exact opposite complaint of "where the hell is the software?" The people who may buy for less without software are also the people who may just wait a year for a price drop or proven reliability, you know wait and see if it is worth it? So Ni is most likely selling to new users and those who buy the lateset and greatest first. Smart move really.

Really the amount of money for this is not too bad... I mean even the cheapest midi controllers are upwards of 50$usd. And from the way it sound the f1 may have some functions native to it.

Really peeps, if you REALLY need some kind of justification on the $50 difference between the X1 and the F1 (besides the inclusion of software) make sure to remember that the F1 also has faders, RGB LEDs, bigger pads and a secure USB port (the orange kind commonly found on the audio 10 and audio 6). That alone justifies the extra $50 to me.

I dont think some of you guys are getting the concept, they are doing this to get a larger user base. Larger user base= make more money. Making more money = more money to spend on R&D, more money to hire more employees, more money for more programmers to make future updates more stable.

In the long run its a win win for everyone.

Discuss the topic of included software until the cows come home but posting a petition is a direct rule break and if you do not know this then it is time to reacquaint yourself with the rules.
