just a couple of things, there are so many post about TS pro that i cant seem to find a step by step on how to install Pro if I am already using TS...

and one more thing, once I'm ready to install fader fox with TS pro...do I delete the .tks files i am actually using with TS-Fader fox and the install the new files for pro?

    thanks!

    Hi Balto,
A good starting pointing for PRO is this thread:
    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72760
There are various methods but most users have had success with copying the collection.nml from Traktor and putting it in the new Pro Folder and then importing that collection. This should read all your previously stored cues/grids IF you have performed "Write Tags Async" on the actual tracks in the Scratch Track Collection before copying it to PRO...

Traktor Scratch Pro is a completely separate program to Traktor Scratch so your install of PRO will have no impact on TS. You can keep using TS until you have tested and are ready to go with PRO.
You will have a brand new Native Instruments folder that will contain the new Traktor folder.
We can leave that there for the time being.

Your Faderfox (which one?) will work very easily with PRO just as it did with Scratch. All you need to do is what ChadG says and download the TSI from Faderfox (ive put the tsi in the new N.I.>Traktor folder) and you load the TSI into PRO in the same way that you did previously with Scratch in the Midi Setup Assignment Table.

You have done all this before with Scratch and you will have no problems with PRO.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Karlos,

I installed TS pro, imported playlists like instructed in the manual...fader fox dx2 settings are working fine...all seems to be working ok!

When I have used it for a while and are used to it should I delete all TS files etc. and stay only with TS pro files?

How can I be shure my playlist and collection files are in the right place before deleting?

Thanks ChadG and Karlos, really helpfull!

Great , glad your up and running.
Its totally down to personal preference whether you delete your TS.
All the playlist and collection files for PRO are kept separate from TS so you wont have any problems deleting all TS related data.

Remember the Golden Rule: Make a FULL backup of your NI/Traktor folders before deleting anything.

Ive still got TS/T3 installed but thats because im DJing 4 times a week and i havent yet got PRO sorted to use Live yet. I suppose that eventually i will be so used to using PRO that i will delete the old programs.

Id leave TS on there a little while longer as we are expecting a HotFixes and Updates for PRO over the next few days/weeks and id suggest being cautious as things can change. If you need to DJ and your not sure about PRO you have always got TS to rely on.
I dont think it will be long before PRO has settled in and is totally reliable.
