So come on then people, no messing about, let's hear your choice and why.....

I'm undecided if you want to know but need to make a decision hence this post. The Fox gets my vote for size and functions but the X1 appeals on price and simplified use.

i vote the x1 - which i have and love. having looked at the faderfox and watched the tutorial for it - it's nice and packs alot of function in but i'm not a huge fan of layers upon layers of function.

if you mostly want it to use a controller fx, or if you plan to use it for browsing and looping as well, i think the x1 would be easier to navigate. it's bigger which gives room between knobs, and gives you more buttons.

the x1 is sexy and has led's to communicate what you've got active. also, size wise, how much does it matter if you've got the x1 or the dx3 when your set up consists or turntables and/or cdj's with a full 4 channel mixer. another controller that measures 4.5 x 11.5 inches (X1) isn't really eating up much more space imo.

I add a category : Xone 1D. They get my vote for two thing : not-a-messy-interface and no imposed overlay. You can easily map wathever the mapping you want with it.

The DX3 has too much of features, the X1 a bit too less. Something right in the middle would be perfect and that's were the Xone 1D comes into play. And it has a jogwheel.

The only big drawback is it price. It is the only reason why I consider buying Faderfox or NI instead.

    Anyone got 1D to sell ? :)

I used to have a pair of xone 1d, then I ended up using just one...now I own an X1 and I simply love it!I never used a faderfox but I dont think I'll like it...however it comes down to personal preferences...

Maybe maybe... I'll see for myself once I'll test the three controllers at Moog Audio, once they will receive the DJ3.

A friend of mine has a 1D+2D setup and whilst I very much like the 1D (and all A&H kit) it's just too big and bulky for my requirements both at home and for gigs which is why I've ruled it out.

This is turning into one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make on DJ kit!

the 1d is in the middle?

it has 4 faders, 9 poti, a block of 12 buttons and even more stuff how is that the middle?

    another candidate: reloop contour

i think the master version or hover it's called has 8 outputs so you can mix 4 channel externally

    that's pretty neat

Yeah, I forgot about Reloop... but they don't ship in Canada! That's a shame, it's look like a very neat controller!

as soon as the reloop contour hits the stores im going to pick one up. i'll do a review on it. Looks like it may have some edge over the X1. Going by the video on reloops website. Only time will tell.

Faderfox DX3 is a smallest DJ-controllers in the world that is designed for live use on the stage. All Faderfox controllers are manufactured in Germany with high quality and many new features like better controls, USB connection, etc. The TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 is one of the versatile DJ controller that can be used with any DJ software. If you are using a DVS timecode or any software of DJ than the connection of it will not much complex just connect it and get the controls of your decks. This Kontrol X1 is good one but I like Faderfox DX3 so I prefer it first because of its extra features.
