Faders/Crossfader don't work

Hey guys,
Just got my S4 and... I cannot use it
actually I installed following the instruction on 2 pcs (not dell).
Everythinh works apart of the faders/crossfader.
When I turn on traktor S4 software it shows me only internal mixer. Fader is all turned to the right and whatever I do on the S4 nothing changes.
I cannot choose external mixer from output routing, it's only internal.
Another strange thing is that on the controller manager I always find the keyboard selected, if I change to s4 controller and reopen the options, it's always the keyboard selected.
Probably it's because I'm dumb, but don't know what to do.

S4 is an internal only mixer. There is a hack to use an external mixer with the S4 software, but you don't need that to run the S4 controller with the S4 software.

That's normal. Everything wil work fine as long as the correct devices are selected in their respective controller selections.

 

- If you open the dropdownlist DEVICE in Controller Manager, do you see an entry named "Traktor.Kontrol S4.Default"?
- if you select this entry: do you see "Kontrol S4" in the In-Port list?

yes I do and it's listed as Kontrol S4 in the in-port list. I've even canceled the keybord as controller to see if anything would have changed.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled following all instructions again, but the faders only work on the cpu (now play button do not work anymore on the s4, only cue and knobs work).

 

Are you still in Browse mode?

 

No browse mode is off, not litted

 

Make sure your selecting the KS4 that has default at the end and not the one that has user on the end.

 

Yes it is default at the end. Actually the keyboard has just reappeard.
Let me add the I can see in every channel the lights going up and down and I can cue the channels, the only difference is that the faders control is made by the software, not by the hardware

 

Maybe cruise button activated?
(Traktor Header, button between Preferences and Fullscreen)

I even have the master light off, if it helps

 

Do the jog wheels move the track? Are there any led's or other symbols flashing? Maybe try running the setup wizard in preferences and see if that helps?

The job wells do work fine, and I tried with the wizard, but the didn't work

 

Cant' see it. Try right clicking on the image and select copy image url. Then paste that in, make sure it's public.

not even effect 1 works, I cannot turn it on, while effect 2 does

 

A bit small, but from what I can see it looks okay.

To get the problem:
- The volume fader on the controller don't have any effect on the volume faders in Traktor?
- The other controls on the controller do work (like EQ? or whatever)?


FX 1 is in group mode, so you need to use the buttons 2 to 4 of effect section 1 on the controller to activate each of the three effects

 

yep the Fx my fault was in group mode didn't know.
Yep all faders are down, but music is playing. If I put with mouse down che channel on the software, music goes down.
