    This is really strange.

    Restarted Traktor? rebooted Windows?

Let's try to solve it in a Teamviewer session, I've sent you a private message.

Done the fader calibration in the preferences?

I had a similar problem. Close the program, plug in and turn on the S4, and then start the software. In my case this helped. My cue- and play buttons didn't work.

I've just installed the software on a mac, had the same exact problem. I'm starting thinking that my hardware is bad.

Yep recalibrated and, btw, they work good! It's the faders that don't work, and I've recalibrated them as well!

    I would try this:

Put your S4 into Midi Mode (press SHIFT + BROWSE).
Open the preferences and go to Controller Manager.

Add a new Generic Midi device and set your In/Out ports to Kontrol S4.
Add a new function (pick Volume Deck A or something) and press Learn.
Now move your fader and see if the signals comes in, that way you know it's not a hardware issue. If it works there, there's probably something wrong with the installation.

I had an issue last week that the S4 Default mapping was just totally effed up when I installed everything. If I would turn the MID of Channel D, the Dry/Wet of FX1 would move and stuff like that.

Just try it out, test some stuff and if you notice that it's not a hardware issue, you can always uninstall/reinstall everything to try again.

    You wouldn't believe this.
This morning I woke up before going at the office and decided to give it another chance and... it worked!
Can't really understand why, even because yesterday I rebooted everything several times... I'll try to investigate on the other computers as well, and I'll let you know.
By the way thanks to all of you for the kind help.

Maybe you did what I posted above? First connected and turned on the S4 and after that the software?
