faq for manuals (instruction)

I think I am missing a Kontakt 5 manual: I don't have a getting started and I can't find out what I am suppose to have.

I would suggest submitting a Support Ticket to see if a Kontakt 5 "getting started" document actually exists.


I have Komplete 8 Ultimate, and the Kontakt 5 documentation that was installed (Win 7 32-bit, default locations) was:

In C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\Documentation
-- Kontakt 5 Application Reference
-- Kontakt 5 factory scripts
-- Kontakt 5 Manual Addendum (for v5.02)
-- KSP Reference Manual

In C:\Users\Public\Documents\Kontakt Factory Library\Documentation
-- Kontakt Factory Library Documentation

The Application Reference manual mentions a "Getting started" document (page 16), but it is not installed with K8 Ultimate. It may not exist given the Application Reference manual covers "Setup" on pages 17-22.

 

I have what you have.

I think the getting started was not sent out with 5. and I need to go to the 4 and down load it.

Yes, There is at least one and I have it, paper , from my printer. I finally found it in all my stuff. I am trying to figure how I got it. I think that it was in my komplete 7 box and when komplete 8 ultimate came I purged Komplete 7 from my hard drive - erasing Kontakt 5 getting started and it was not in Komplete 8 Ultimate.

My suggestion is keep rattling doors and you'll get a copy.

Kontakt 5 getting started manuals found

RTFM! In Kontakt Application Reference it is written on page 16. You just have to download the Kontakt 5 player and there the manuals are!
But I don't understand the idea behind this? Saving space? I bought Komplete 8 and it is on 12 DVD's, taking 80GB of space...
