Feature request: Unlock basic functionality on the remix decks for your customers

Everywhere? I only did it at two other places so thats not spamming lol , if i did it everywhere where there was a problem or complaint something it would be on 100's of places
Besides that you cant know or it would help or not, doing nothing wont help for sure.
But apparently its not allowed to place a link to another thread, wich is weird because i see them everywhere

I have come to the conclusion that NI could give a crap less about opening up the remix decks. I am selling my current controllers since I already sold my F1 and switching to SeratoDJ with the DDJ-SX. Peace out Traktor.

 

I'm guessing that instead of reading this forum, NI is working on the next piece of DJ hardware that will be feature locked... it seems like NI has taken some of the "best" strategies of MS and Apple and integrated this into their own methods.

Who knows... maybe they'll start requiring that any music played on their devices be purchased from the new NI music store.

My biggest beef with the F! is that you cant re arrange how the sequence works. I would have kept mine if there was a way for my channels to be horizontal instead of vertical. It would have been way more practical for finger drumming.

 

Ricky, an F1? I'll probably just buy a Push instead and sell my Maschine and S4. If you are in the market for these items (or anyone else), please let me know.

I think he's aware. He's making the point (as I also mentioned earlier in the thread), that anyone who wants to have a set heavy on stem manipulation is better off doing it in Ableton anyways.

I was originally rather irritated over the locking of this functionality, but I'm kind of over it now. I realize it's mostly a gimmick and there are few people out there who are really making robust sets utilizing the F1 to its fullest potential. It's a neat idea, but I think NI shot themselves in the foot by having it locked to the F1... now there's a large percentage of their user base that just has no idea how to use them effectively.

A simple solution if you want and can afford another button-pushy gadget, sure. Many of us already like the controllers we have (including those made by NI). And I think he's right - if you really want what the F1+remix decks provide, Ableton is by far a better solution. (I'd keep the Maschine if I were him though because it integrates beautifully with Ableton). But I suspect that part of this reaction is due to an entirely understandable desire to work with a company that shows a bit more concern for its users than NI has.

 

It took them Ableton) long enough to go 64bit so uhm doesnt show like a lot concern for its users imo.
