**a loop machine that can remember **
When using GR2 as a VST, it would be nice if it automatically loaded anything that was inputed into the loop machine from the previous session. I guess it was more intended as a creativity tool, but it would be a lot more useful its setting could be saved. Even pedel assignments are lost open reopening. Currently, users must save a .ls file and then load that up whenever they reopen a project.

    ** A more accessable 'Active' button **
When using the GR2 in VST mode, you have to click on the 'RK' button and then locate that tiny 'Active' button to assign the RK2 to that particular instance of GR2. What I propose is to make the 'Active button' bigger and have it near the top so it's easier to activate. To make it ever more functional, I'd love to be able to assign a controller to it in cubase such that when I have a particular track selected, I could press a midi button and have the RK2 automatically switch to that instance of GR2.

** Seperate Preset per input **
This might not be so easy to implement, but it would be nice if I could load a preset on the Left channel and another preset on the right channel. Sometimes I play with a bass player and he likes to patch in through my guitar rig. Other times I might use a vocal mic. In VST mode, this is simply accomplished by having two instances of GR2 running, but in Standalone mode, there is no efficient way to do this.

** Have access to all the Paramters in VST Mode **
I'm sure this has more to do with the host application and less to do with GR2, but both Cubase SX3 and Ableton 6 can not access all the parameters of GR2. Abelton can access about hundred and Cubase manages about 200. Bearing in mind that there are probably 300 or more parameters in GR2, it would be nice to encourage the makers of the host applications to add support for controling these parameters.

** Send parameter changes through midi out in S.A. Mode**
I have a bCR2000, which has endless rotatry encoders and can receive input from applications. It would be really nice if when I changed preset, by BCR2000 would be automatically updated with the new settings. This is accomplished in Cubase for example by mapping all the parameters in the Generic Remote.

That's all I can think of right now. If you'd like me to elaborate a little more, please don't hesitate to ask.

This is HUGE HUGE HUGE! We need to keep harassing the host vendors, and probably Steinberg as well since this is likely related to the VST specification (though Steinberg is not famous for their responsiveness...)

But in the meantime there is something NI should be able to do to improve matters: only "export" (make visible to the host menu) parameters for GR2 components that are part of the active preset. Right now ALL GR2 parameters are visible - and in no discernable order, so it's not suprising the relevant ones are always pushed way off the bottom of the list.

Me too!! I play both acoustic and electric using GR standalone. Would be really nice not to have to change that manually.

Yeah, I'd appreciate a feature like this, too. I think it might come in very handy when using GR2 to process the separate sides of my Chapman Stick.
