    hey dartmusic. If it aint broke, don't fix it. Leave your setup alone, it sounds like your happy and with the amount you DJ you shouldn't ask for trouble with a new computer Mac or PC.

    First, I'd like to say thanks to everyone for your input.

    Second, @Scoobycarolan, I'm quite happy with my setup, though this machine is nearly 5 years old and eventually is going to die. I ask(ed) the question thinking that I could save some $$, since MacBooks are still unreasonably expensive.
