I think the best way to do it is to make Traktor switch between Midi pages. You are then able to assign function to one button in page 1 and an other function to the same button in page 2, ...

Hi Everyone, thanks for the interest in the 9303. I will try to answer some of your questions.

Shipping outside of North America is a little costly since we do not currently have a European distributor. You CAN purchase a 9303 from outside the US or Canada but shipping is in the range of $120-$150 USD! ouch

We chose joysticks over jog wheels because they are smaller, and they are a new interface that many DJs have found useful. They serve the purpose of "nudging" your track. Since they are XY axis you can use the other axis for whatever you like, i.e. effects.

There is no shift button right now, but we are looking into having the "send all" button double as a shift button. i.e press it quick for a send all, hold it down for a shift.

all the knobs are potentiometers and not endless encoders.

We have a bunch of units out there and have done a great deal of testing and have never seen the driver problem marlowilliams is seeing, we are still working on a fix, but I'm glad he has something going.

    Feena,

THANKS for taking the time to monitor what's going on in this thread and posting here! A little input from a company means alot to most of us.

Here Here I'll drink to that.

Will consider buying in the UK, even at high shipping costs.

Just a little note. UPS will cost a lot BUT you can send it through the US postal system and get insurance and it would cost you about $30 and take about 2 weeks. Just an FYI. dont quote me on that rate which could be a little more or a little less. I HIGHLY endorse this machine which is the best traktor controller available right now. The dac-3 is a close second which has a sturdier build due to the rock solid weighted sliders but less midi functionality. the dac-3 is only marginally sturdier, not a landslide FYI. i have both. Both Kill the behringer BCD2000 which gets an B+ for value since it is only 200 and has midi and a soundcard rolled into one. But feels like a Toy and the knobs and sliders feel like they could fall off at any moment.

FEENA - put a soundcard in the damn thing. or a PCI slot that adds sound functionality.

overall, the unit gets an 9/10
    dac-3 - 8/10
    bcd2000 - 6.5/10

    Thanks MarlowWilliams for your comments.

I am seriously near to getting my wallet out so that I can buy a Feena. I got a DAC-3 last week and have started the midi mapping which is a bit laborious to get right.

It would have been good if Visiosonic had a tks file for it as they promote it for use with Traktor.

I am disappointed that it looks like the displays won't work on the DAC-3 with Traktor (I'm baffled because some folks at another DJ software company got full functionality - displays and everything using midi.)

After 30 odd years of DJing, my eyes aren't what they were and I have trouble seeing the bpm on the Traktor screen, so it would have been good to have that on the DAC-3. display. Of course the strange thing is that the software supplied by Visiosonic doesn't support asio and I find the DAC-3 a little unresponsive with that compared with Traktor, which would definitely be my first choice. I'll probably buy the Feena anyway, because I just like this sort of thing.

    Cheers

    marlowilliams is right!

I just went to the post office again myself to find out why it was so expensive to ship and I found that it is only $51 USD to ship to most places in Europe! This included insurance and tracking. I received my earlier shipping quote from the UPS Store and according to them $150 was for the postal service cost not the UPS cost. But they were obviously wrong.

Soo... European shipping is now back on and only $51 USD if anyone is interested. You can purchase it online, and we will send you a paypal bill for the remaining balance for shipping.

We dont have any plans to add jog wheels any time soon. sorry. If you want jog wheel get the kontrol DJ, its a solid piece of equipment. Decent jog wheels take up space, so that means either a bigger controller or less knobs and buttons.

There is no schedule for the next revision yet either. We need more feedback on what people want to decide on features.

ok - going to bed now lol

Is this another option for me other than the Ecler Nu04/05 .... and a `cheaper mixer` + a Behringer ???....

I live in the UK - (see other post :http://www.nativeinstruments.de/forum_us/showthread.php?t=36275 ) - I would like to order something Monday or Tuesday to use with Traktor 3.

    thanks for your inputs people.

This is a very nice controller...but why is it that no one has built a controller with 4 EQ Nobs to take advantage of one of Traktor's best features the emulation of the Xzone 92....that's the EQ I use when mix with Traktor.....so all these controllers present a problem to me....but this is the best so far.....It would be nice if version 2 get this feature plus two more independent channel fader....which would help with mixing with four or three decks....

You can assign the knobs up top that are normally reserved for the individual channel effects and use the EQ knobs for effects instead.

Or simply use Autogain and then use the redundant Gain knob as the fourth EQ...

Or MIDI it up to a Behringer Nano and use it's knobs to control gains while you use the knobs on the Feena for EQ. Lots of ways to go to get where you want to be.

I noticed the website mentions that 10bit fader resolution is possible. Can this actually be used with traktor? I've been waiting ages for a controller that actually allows one to control pitch within Traktor with a decent precision (instead of 0.1% or worse steps).

I was so close to getting a Feena. Last minute went with Faderfox DX2.

I've never thought about that before, but you made me fire up TDJS3 and check.

To me, it doesn't look like TDJS SUPPORTS finer pitch resolution than .1%. Am I on crack?

Sadly enough it seems that even with TDJ 3 this wasn't yet introduced :(

Kind of sad because it is the one feature that prevents people to pitch songs in TDJ with a digital controller like they would on a normal turntable. It would make it a lot more likely for "classic" CD/Turntable DJs to switch over to TDJ, because their painstakingly developed pitching skills would not be lost as soon as they switch to a digital controller.
