I hope to see some morphing or Z Plane filters like EMU?

me too! sadly, in the beta i tried there were none. there were a good collection of 2,4, and 6 pole filters though.

I guess it may be a CPU thing

I am sure it would not be a problem for NI..as they can do anything..But maybe it hoggs more CPU ??I know they are really respecting CPU performance...just a thought..What oes that sequencer do on the bottom by the way..A beat sequencer of some sort??

morphing filters should be no problem for ni,
you can already build such filters with reaktor
and it won't eat that much cpu.

maybe it is the case that they can't put anything
possible into kontakt, as it would grow too big.

but for me it sounds like a cool thing, having
    morphing filters in kontakt.

lets see what the final version will give to us.

Kontakt doesn't have morphing filters per-se. But in addition to the standard collection of 2-4-6 pole etc, we have a very cool "flexible" filter. This filter is composed of three indendent 2-pole multimode filters. This massive filter has 13 parameters including cutoff ´(1 master and 2 offset), resonance (3x), type (3x), mix percentage (3x) for each of the 2-pole multi-mode filters and overall gain.

You can make your own quasi-morphing filters or emulate many popular filters.

    Best, jake

    hello jake,

    well this is great news.
much better than having a z-plane clone.

    best wishes

    morph?

well.. if you have a closer look what a "z-plane" is .. its just a mix of lots of 1-pole filters.. so.. if you got the chance to configure some filters and set them wherever you like you got your "z-plane" but "programmable"..
good, eh? so its possible on reaktor and nord modular etc..
the kontakt is highly flexible.. so its not too far from it..
let NI some time to put out the first release and the mac version ..
emus softsampler will not contain more than an LPF.. so there is still e kontakt to be one the most felxible tool..

btw: the emu sampler only have 6pole filters...

in a sampler i find those full parametric EQs nice good thing.. havin 6 1pole settings for filters and all modable plus offset.. thats "z-plane" ;)
