    Hi,
When I installed the Final scratch amp drivers I got the following message:

The software you are installing has not passed windows XP logo testing to verify its compatibility with windows XP

Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future.

Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the software vendor for software that has passed windows logo testing.

I continued to install the Drivers from the CD that came with the Final Scratch package as the CD had the Windows XP passed logo on it.

When I try to start up my computer since installing the Scratch Amp Drivers it either freezes on a blank black screen or white lines run across the bottom of the screen.

    Please help?

    Thank you.

That warning is normal. I recommend that you uninstall the SA driver, make sure you have your OS updated (your call as to installing SP2 or not - just make sure you have the USB fix installed), and reboot.

Then disconnect the SA from your computer, restart, install the driver again. Once it's over turn off the computer, attach the SA, turn the computer on, and see if it's installed properly.

    Post here with the results.

Thank you for the advice :thumb: It seems to be working fine now although i have'nt restarted the computer much but i just hope it stays as it is now because it is working perfectly, been doing some long mixes with house stuff to see how well it holds in the mix, also been scratching and doubling up with funk/soul/disco breaks and it is really smooth, I have yet to try it out on my laptop but if i can get it running as smooth that would be a bonus.
Should i leave the scratch amp connected at all times or is it best to disconnect?

    Thanks again

Glad it worked out for you. I leave my SA connected all the time, but I'm in more of a studio enviornment.

Nemonic.. what do you mean USB fix... I didnt think they had anything to do with FS2 because its FireWire. Is there something I should be looking for. I just picked up FS2 to see how much better it is supposed to be and I am very very very disappionted, At least FS1 worked out of the Box even thought with alot of problems it still worked..

That was a mistype. There is a firewire patch from MS that addresses a couple issues, and a "hack" posted on these boards that fixes the crippled firewire performance that SP2 for XP creates.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but it worked out of the box for me. And other people I talk to in other forums as well (Somethingawful and Skratchworx are a couple I'm on alot).
