Final Solution To Audio Drop Outs Crackles Etc Using Traktor S4

Hey man i tried the vmware solution but it is too slow to work properly. I installed mac os on a partition in my pc and it works fine. Also NI sent me the new beta drivers and they seem to work fine on Windows. I would suggest to considerate the pioneer DJJ-T solution for traktor. It's a little more expensive but worth it.

Im finally getting somewhere with mine best advice ibstall all updates get the beta driver then in control panel start with 16 samples and 1ms work ur way from there

 

Request it from Support and give me the Ticket Number (comes in an auto email, please check Junk Filter) and i will try to help speed things up.

same problems on macbook pro

tracks freeze play, bpm goes skippy etc

running traktor pro s4 1.0.1

downloaded & installed 2.4.18 with service center but it still says i am running 1.0.1 in the about traktor link in help.

had this problem at 2 gigs & i'm badly stuck without a setup now.

only using s4 no other controller or soundcard

 

2.4.18 is the driver number. Your S4 software is up to date with 1.0.1.

Have you disabled WiFi, Bluetooth and any virus protection..? These can all interfere with the audio (esp wifi), although not usually needed on a Mac like yours.
Worth swapping the USB cable as well.

Does this happen at home of just in the club and how often does it occur.
Can you explain a little more what is actually happening and what you are doing at the time so we can get a better picture.

it happens when there's 2 songs playing together and fx etc do not matter. the phase of the tracks jump all over the place & then there's the total freezing of the track which i taught was calibration but it happens again and again no matter how many times i calibrate the wheels or reboot the mac. it happens at home & in the club but seems to act up more frequently when connected to bigger soundsystems which i taught may have been vibrations but who knows. i'll try turning off wifi but i think the problem is more serious than that & i've swapped usb etc

 

Im afraid there is nothing i can do until you get the Auto email.
Did you check your Junk Mail.

That really does seem like a calibration issue. Have you tried recalibrating everything on the S4. If the Pitch Faders need calibrating it can also cause stutters.

 

How do you actually get the hotfix, I couldn't find a link to download on the page?

Also, I think things are actually worse with the new driver

Anyway after mucking about with drivers all afternoon, I'm now in the midst of formatting again.

I tried everything on this forum (Tweaking Device manager, Latency Settings, Installing Game Booster and the Microsoft Hot fix). I still get the clicks and the audio drops. I really need this next week. Im gonna be missing work because of this. I just bought this yesterday and at the store they were using Windows 7 too but the guy said they didnt do the update after installation. Should I do that as well? Thanks
