I've already posted useful information in this thread about how you can navigate Maschine's interface from the hardware. You, on the other hand, have made false claims about what Maschine couldn't do and then resorted to personal attacks when it was pointed out that you were wrong about your assumption that:
If you had read the manual, you might have figured out that you actually can still access the same notes from the step sequencer even if the regular sequencer was used to record them because the two sequencer modes access the same pattern and you can switch between them while working on the same pattern.

It's a common noob mistake to assume the Maschine's step sequencer can only show 16 steps on the pads, not realizing you can zoom in and out of the grid resolution being shown by the backlit pads by choosing the different grid and still navigate to every step of a pattern at all resolutions from the hardware. Just RTFM and spend more time with it than a week before declaring it not "smooth" or "fluid" or that it's a "$600 midi controller that lights up".

I have owned Reason since day dot but stopped upgrading @ 5.0 - that is since version 1.0, think it was around 2000/2001 when i first got it and it was about £265 so please don't even go there.
    ---
each sound in Maschine has a lot more access in 1 window, oh - and all with hands not a weeny dial that has to be twiddled with a mouse. and i can get to any of my other sounds by pressing a button - every single parameter can be accessed in seconds.
    ---
trust me this is temporary !
    ---
that is exactly what you are doing
    ---
    live playing - VERY SIMPLE

mixing drums in maschine is slow? coming from a seasoned veteran of 1 week i suppose you are dead right.

needs a nav arrow? - to get around patterns you mean? IT HAS THESE.

    an eraser? it has ONE

it needs a pencil and drawing lines etc? DO YOU REALLY think that would make mixing drums or anything else faster? why not use what are called dials and autowrite functions that record while being played?

You need to learn what you have purchased and what it is capable of before slating it as being less equipped than a piece of software designed to be very different.

    let's start again:

what useful info do you want to know?

I spend my time using maschine standalone constantly, i may export to Cubase (if i want to run parallel mixdown tracks with separate processing on) or maybe SF when required to turn to mp3 or similar, i certanly do not arrange outside of maschine anymore and do not anticipate that changing -

why? because it's so easy - if you want some help with the box just ask, i am happy to provide as i am sure noiserot would - don't get into arguments with people that clearly have a lot more knowledge on the subject.
