i've done ±10 gigs, every was abt 2-3hrs long using this 2.1.2 absolutely without any probs. looks like i comes nearly perfect soon (as 1.2.7 was).

also have recorded 8 mixes using Traktor Kontrol S2 (borrowed from my friend) - flawless. i love this unit, i think i might get one myself too

and.... my latency always set to minimum both Internal/External output :)

oh yeah, i dont get what spikes everyone talks here? is it same/that big as i just screenshoted on my laptop while both decks playing?

I just bought Traktor Scratch 2 Duo for about a week ago and installed, and updated it the first thing i did. Ever since i have been struggling with the cue-issue.

    I'm playing with CDJ-400 and CDJ-1000's.

If i set the correct cue, then it automaticly moves forward if i press it more than one time!

Coming from using CD's i thought this would make my life easier not having to burn CD's all the time, but not being able to do such a basic thing as setting a cue and expect it to stay there so i can hit in a new song when i mix, it just feels like i've gone back a few years.

Feels like i could have better use burning the cash in the oven, atleast then i would have gotten some heat out of it.

NI, you gotta fix the cue-issue! It makes your product useless together with CDJ's.

    Hey Martin,

When you have your cue issue, what MIDI mapping are you using in your controller manager? Sounds like you need to add in a MIDI command to 'Jump to Act Cue' - combine this on the same Cue key with a command 'Cue Set & Store' and you will be able to force the Cue button to behave just how it does on your CDJ.

Good luck with your set up!

djsemi, hes saying abt playing with cdjs and not a controller. its a common issue with timecode signal and software

OK, my bad...I'm using x2 Denon 3700 in MIDI Hybrid Mode to control my Traktor Decks, hence the comment regarding amending the MIDI map to force the cue to 'stick'. Doesn't the CDJ400 also have a similar Hybrid MIDI mode that can be engaged to provide the Cue functionality required? Or is it only a choice between Time Code CD or MIDI?

***EDIT - maybe the advice on this link will assist?***

    3 issues:

    - When I load a track and hit (on X1) a hotcue, to be cued at the point i need... 9/10 times it starts from whenever it wants.

    - The phase meter, it's so much darker in this version.

    - Tryied the new (MK2) timecodes, it can't regognize them... tryied calibrate a million times but it can't be done... worked with the older.

One more.. The gain is somehow lower? I should re-check this to be sure...

the cue starting at the wrong place is a long time known issue already but the phase meter is lighter for me not darker. As far as mk2 I can't say because I only own the older version of the time codes. Your best bet in my opinion is to stick with traktor 2.0.3 as it is much more stable. Version 2.1.1 is a mess and so is 2.1.2. Hopefully traktor 2.5 will will solve most problems that 2.1.2 has. After testing 2.1.2 for less than an hour, I found at least 3 bugs and also noticed that it is a hog on the cpu load. Traktor 2 exsists for almost 1 year with little improvement, it's a shame. Hopefully 2.5 will be free or else I won't be updating until it's proven to be very stable.

It works. Been using 1.2.7 for a long time and recently decided to try T2 when my Numark N4 arrived.. tbh I got a bit scared after reading threads like this but T2.1.2 made no problems.. CPU load is ~25% on idle but never over 40% when mixing two decks (when I go into 4 decks, remixing etc, it goes over 50%) and no lag, crackles or pops are present. Also tried it with 4 decks on, keylocked and scratching, 4 full-on fx units, full-on war mode and the CPU did spike visually, still no lag and no crackles. Good work NI, thanks!

    btw my setup is
    Lenovo G550
    Win7
    T2.1.2
    Numark N4
    (running at 9.3 ms latency)

Think it pretty much works awesome for anyone on a faster computer (or slower if you turn off some of the new features (key lock on sample decks mainly) and a controller... Seems most of the issues are with timecode and pre i5 processors...

I get it down to about 5ms latency running with ableton Live on same computer (2.7 i5)...

Don't hold your breath. Tech support for this software is abysmal in comparison to other products. I have two packages sitting in the cupboard for the last six months because I'm not confident in the stability of the software.

I'm hoping that the 2.5 update will fix the known issuses & not create any extra ones. If it does, I'll reluctantly sell both Audio 8 & Audio 10 packages & stick with Serato. Having used both packages, I think Traktor has the better options for what I need plus better soundcard & vinyl.

But the fact that it crashes if you hot swap a CD player to the interface, the cd cueing is bad & the file management is terrible in comparison to Serato are all big factors in my decision.

I second that unforntunately. I love traktor for its features but the crashing when hot swapping cdjs and lack of advanced HID support makes it unusable in a club scenario compared to serato for that type of set up. I also feel Serato still feels slightly more natural in feel for vinyl compared to traktor but thats a personal opinion. I am still using 2.03 as i have a core 2 dup 2.5ghz which it seems unless you have an i5 processor and above on windows machines the 2.1x series is way to high on cpu and i have my machine tweaked to the max (look at danny brynes excellent posts for anyone who is after tips - good work danny!)
I am also waiting with anticipation for the 2.5 release as i have invested a lot in traktor and NI equipment but to be honest if i had my time again i should have bought serato - sorry!
Anyway to be constructive with my comments i am waiting for Advanced HID for cdjs with no crash on hot swapping would build my confidence up again. also fixing the cueing problem for cdjs is a big one!
