The time has come, the first contact instrument is at the start. My thanks go primarily to this forum and especially to Evil and David, who have always helped me quickly and professionally.

I recorded a 50 years old and completely restored concert guitar, a master guitar made of cedar and rosewood. The instrument in contact consists of the following components:

    1. Reststroke each 6 velocity levels, a total of about 700 samples
    2. Freestroke 4 velocity levels each, a total of approx. 500 samples
    3. Legato in 6 velocity levels, 700 samples
    4. Flageolet in one step, 44 samples
    5. FX in one step, 10 samples

You can hear a first result here:
It is the work "La Catedral" by Agustine Barrios Mangore.

    1st sentence -
    2nd sentence -
    3rd sentence -

As DAW Cubase 9.5 is at the start, mastered are the 3 sets with Fabfilter plugins.

Thanks again for the help and enjoy listening

Will you be distributing it or selling it anywhere?

    Hello David,

I think your idea is good, it is still too early, the instrument is still in development. I have tried many guitar plugins so far, all of them have something very good special, but always missing an important component. So I came to build the VST myself. Kontakt I think so far is really great! At the moment I am extending the instrument to real tremolo, not a single tone repetition, that sounds artificial. Another construction site is the Slide Up and Down. Then comes another big extension, the bridge sound, a very important factor missing from all the libraries of classical concert guitar I've bought so far.

My goal is for the guitar to sound as real as possible!

When it's all done, I think about your suggestion. Would NI sell the instrument then?

    many Greetings

    Hello Musicians!

The next module of my own build library "classical concert guitar" is ready - the tremolo.

It is a real played Tremolo, not a note repetition, that sound like a machine gun.
But listen, if you want :)

    Hi Experts,

i need for bend up and bend down (slide up/down) different speeds for my guitar in Kontakt. So i decide to use time maschine pro for the samples.
    Now my question:

which midi controller would you recommend. The center position should be 100% speed (value = 64), the lowest 50% speed (value = 0), the highest 200% speed (value = 127). I want to avoid pitch-bend.

    Thanks a lot

Why not use exactly pitch bend for that? Just change the default pitch bend modulator that's already modulating pitch, to modulate speed instead? Then use the modulation shaper to adjust the amount of modulation in either direction.

    good morning Evil,

thanks for your quick answer. I will try this solution. Is there for NI users a place, where i can upload an audio-snippet, so that you can listen to the new solution?

    Fine Day!

next module is ready, the slide up and down is real played, not used with pich bend, that sounds artificial. The speed of the slide (quick or slow) is controlled by the method, that Evil told.

If you want to hear a first result, listen here, it is unzipped a mp3-file.

    Dear Kontakt-Fans,

soon it will happen, I hit the home straight. This time the module Slide and Vibrato is finished. Here you can hear a first result and hopefully enjoy!

The next module will be "Mute", I'll get in touch when the time comes.

    a fine evening

    Morning Cornell,

above that's just a greeting, not the appointment *haha*.
At the moment I produce a new piece, so that the completion date moves backwards a bit. It will definitely be early next year, but then I could be ready.
There will be a basic module (RestStroke, FreeStroke, Legato, FX) and the extensions (Flageolet, Slide, Tremolo and Mute) - maybe there will be some special playing techniques, like "Sweet", "Push on Strings", let's see.

If "Mute" is ready, i will give here however a little example.

    happy F#

I like the way things are sounding thus far, even a monthly update would be great so that we (the many people that will post following this) can be informed, especially if you move to make it a "retail" product ...

Hello friends of classical concert guitar music,

the next module is at the start, here the string is muffled with the right hand. Mostly only the three bass strings, so that a tonally unusual combination of bass (mute) and solo (normal) arises. Since I have made only a small demo piece, attached a ZIP-Filfe with the piece of music. Here in the forum, I found no way to upload music samples. Or is it possible?

No matter - have fun listening

    Hello kontakt friends,
I have completely revised the tremolo again. There is now a manually recorded tremolo for each tempo between 70 and 160 BPM, which is selected via "Key Switch" (the TimeMachine Pro has produced too many artifacts, it just did not sound good anymore). Thus, a realistic-sounding Ritardando or Accelarando is now possible within the tremolo. The length of the tremolo is also selectable, there are 6, 4, 2 and 1 groups, here is selected on the Midi channel. With these two parameters (BPM and channel) it is now possible to generate an authentic tremolo. But hear even a first result of the new module:

Probably the best-known guitar work by Francisco Tarrega "Recuerdos de la Alhambra"

    Enjoy the Music
