FIX for Chord Mode (when chords 1-3, 1-3-5, 1-3-5-7, etc. go missing!)

I was waiting for you to test on another computer and confirm that bug is not there to say:
"Do a clean install of Windows 7, or move to Windows 10" I didn't just say that right away because generally people dont want to hear that, if a user is already upset for an issue telling them to wipe their system makes them angrier hehe, now I can say it - If you have that computer for a long time consider a clean OS install or move to W10, W7 has been officially abandoned by Microsoft, no more security updates.
Back in my Windows days (95, 98, XP, 7), I would do a clean install every few years and it made the system run smoother every time.

About the version: if you want to keep the V1 Import Feature then keep a copy of the Maschine 2.8.7 .exe application, just name it differently so updates dont overwrite it. When you need it, you can just run it, import, then get back to the latest version.

Glad you got it fixed, confirm it again after you installed all the expansions just to make sure.

 

Thanks, D-One. Yeah man, I hate Windows 10 in general because of privacy issues and telemetry. It's a bit scary in general even though I don't use unofficial software. I just prefer privacy in a lot of areas of my life and don't want targeted advertising every time I use a computer. Just yesterday I was talking to a student about Oculus Quest and how he just got one, and in my FB feed all I saw was multiple ads for Oculus Quest (I'm not even much of a gamer). Stuff like that annoys me and I despise it. And I'm not the only one.

I have a Windows 10 laptop waiting in the wings... I've installed some stuff to it, but prefer my main work laptop because so much stuff is on it. I could do a clean install sure, and my multiple computers (and multiple Maschines obviously haha) are all the same Dell Precision. Easy to install drivers, update with SSD, etc.... but it's just so. much. stuff. to put back on... I just don't want to deal with the hassle. I've configured things, forgotten how they were configured, etc... but eventually, I will definitely wipe it and start over (with Windows 7). The Windows 10 system will just be a mirror of what's on this, just in case the Windows 7 system dies completely. I always back up and back up some more. Been at this way too long to be careless, haha.

So with the renaming... do I just rename the EXE and then update with Native Access? Should all be well in that case? No issues otherwise?

I feel ya. I think there are ways to shut down the tracking and increase privacy on Win10 but I am not an expert, it's not as bad as it was on the beginning imo. FB is not known to care for privacy, as most social media platforms.
Due to my engagement on the forum, all ads I see everywhere are from NI lol... I started using Brave instead of Chrome recently, no ads and no tracking without any complicated setup, I'm also not getting the annoying "please turn off Ad-Blocker" warnings on websites.

Yeah, all works well, just keep the copy with a different name. I also keep the current version copy (exe and vst) before updating just in case the update has a serious bug.

 

Word... I'll check out Brave. I'm tired of the ads. I use Ad Blocker Plus with either Chrome or Firefox and still the crap is everywhere. Thanks D-One!

 

The missing 1-3-5 rears its ugly head again, after starting a new project, haha. So I had to repeat the REGEDIT process. All good. But I forgot-- wiping that wipes the template I've been using and all my Preferences. Luckily I did save that not too long ago, so that's good.

Rocking 2.12.0, not 2.13 (which I'm sure this bug is present in, anyway).. haha.
