Damn. I'm about to update to 2.0.5 due to this issue. But for what...

I still can't wrap my head around this...

    p.s.
How hard is it to replace a pentium 4 core 2 duo desktop with an I5 or I7 chip? Or am I supposed to buy a totally new desktop, new motherboard?? I'm a pc noob yes

I updated. The issues have been resolved. I can work freeze free now.

Only issues that arise: clipping when I use Massive.

Any other positive experiences with 2.05 update? Seems like 90% of the stuff I've read is negative.

I have not yet updated to 2.05 on my main studio computer... too afraid.

Why not? I mean it's all ready jacked with your current version right?!

My problems have been resolved as far as the freezing issues. Only problems I got is the cpu performance when I start running vst's such as Massive, Prism etc.

I upgraded to 2.0.5, still getting the freezing issue, I think it's slightly worse now lol. I've gone back to 1.8.

No problems here... I started with 2.0.5... Maschine Studio.

I even tried to reproduce the problem by spinning threw presets extremely fast ... not one glitch.

Glad to hear it's all good with you Hit-Man. Can you clear up what you mean by started with 2.0.5? Can you install 2.0.5 without first installing 2.0 + 2.02 ? Is that what you mean?

Well... I just recently got Maschine Studio and 2.0.5 was the latest update when I installed the software so I didn't have any experience with 2.0 or 2.02.

    That's why I said I started with 2.0.5.

OK this is making Maschine near unusable for me. In standalone and I merely try and prehear a sample from an expansion I bought and it puts my audio interface offline. I didn't even notice a CPU spike on my system monitor. I herd this would be fixed, they knew it was a CPU leak. I thought the primary reason for the last update was to fix this bug.

I don't think that this will bring any improvement. I guess the reason why Hit-Man doesn't have any issues is because his CPU isn't a Core2Duo.

I myself have a core2duo. There is an improvement on my side.

I've been having this problem for a while. I'm on a mid 2012 MBP I7 processor and 16GB ram with Maschine Studio. Lately it's become more consistent and happening a few times a day either when I'm trying to save or selecting an instrument in from the browser. v2.05 DIDN'T HELP!

For now, I've just disabled prehear. It's unfortunate because part of the attraction of Maschine was the ability to quickly move through and choose samples to your liking (I still remember a time when you could load a kit and then change individual samples just by hitting the relevant pad on the controller). When I bought Maschine I was thinking DRUMS, not DAW like features because I already have 4 DAWs to play with. I actually wouldn't mind a "lite" plugin version of Maschine to use in Ableton without the CPU hit. I'd forgo bells and whistles just for a decent and stable drum machine/sampler.

Man the fact that the problem is even worse with 2.0.5 is redick , at least with 2.0.2 sample editing didnt freeze my **** everytime I start editing a new sample . I love the software but am getting really tired of dealing with this . creativity and frustration do not mix .

Not the same issue being discussed here at all.

How can you say that this is not the same issue when all I said was it's happening to me too and describe the setup?? I understood the problem as:
since that is the title of the thread. In my opinion,
    and
describe a similar workflow since when you are in prehear mode and click on a sound, it loads as the sound is being auditioned. Either way Maschine 2.0 is freezing before eventually crashing while I browse for instruments. It also does this in some cases when I try to save my projects. I have gone through many of the 11 pages of this thread to see that lots of people are reported numerous scenarios that cause Maschine 2.0 to crash. I didn't see you tell them that their problem wasn't valid to the discussion. Many of them were using a similar PC configuration also. The only real difference is that I am using Maschine Studio. Originally, I was just going to lurk on this thread and wait for a good solution. I commented to let the MK1 and MK2 users who think that the problem only pertains to them know that it is happening on the Studio as well. I'm just as frustrated as everyone else who spends an hour getting a song to sound just right and then lose it because they forgot to save and now the software locks up and crashes. I don't come here to debate at all, but If I can't post on a forum without a random Moderator telling me that my problem is not relevant to a thread full of people having a similar problem then what's the point???
