I've had issues with an S4 fader in the past. Deck A fader would move up and down on its own. I would only use Deck C on the left time. In time this issue disappeared on its own.

Now my tempo fader is sliding on its own and this can cause some serious issues during a set.

I have tried vacum cleaning the tempo fader but it hasnt helped. Any other suggestions?

Is there any way to disable the fader?

I have a similar issue on my Traktor S2, Deck A tempo fader is very very slowly responsive and it resets the tempo whenever it becomes the master deck. Very frustrating, I just emailed Native Instruments about this problem.

See this youtube video for a similar issue:

Electronic Contact Cleaner spray from a local electronics store may be worth a try. Then recalibration the fader. Otherwise you need to repair the unit.

You could map the tempo fader to set a modifier and use the Override Factory Map option to disable it.

Thanks a lot for the advise. I'm afraid it will have to be a repairing. Do you happen to know by any chance what the official length of the Warranty is? I bought my equipment 23 months ago and if I am not mistaken the warranty should be 2 years, but I am not sure.

    1 year, I thought.

1 year is typical for international warranties, but if you bought the unit in the EU there is a 2 year warranty on all products.
