    Hello,
I use Flac mostly. I dont have major issues except for the following.
I use Mediamonkey to organise, tag , rate my library. When i put a rating (stars) in a flac file using Mediamonkey these scores dont appear in Traktor :/
Also for some tunes it seams to me traktor misses the first milisecont of the track, but i am not sure.
Apart those i very happy with the overall performance Traktor gives to Flac.

There is a severe bug affecting FLACs. I filed a bug report last December (any mods reading along: Ticket#2009112710005765). NI still hasn't fixed this bug.

The problem occurs with FLAC files where the downbeat is right at 0:00 (i.e., there is no silence at the beginning of the track). Traktor will only start playback of these files roughly 100ms into the track. There simply is no way to start playback from the beginning of the track.

This issue doesn't occur with all FLACs that don't have silence at the beginning but with the majority of them. A workaround is to manually edit those FLACs: you add 100ms of silence to the start of the track using something like Audacity or SoundForge. Ofc, employing this fix for hundreds or thousands of files is a major PITA.

It should be clear by now that I am extremely disappointed that NI hasn't fixed the issue by now. (The issue was known for about six months before I submitted my ticket, so this bug is at least 1 1/2 years old.)

I have noticed this as well but with 10,000+ FLAC files I am not about to manually fiddle around with my standards-compliant collection just to get around an issue in Traktor.

Are there any official announcements regarding a fix or improvements to FLAC support or am I basically left to buy the software and cross my fingers?

As a last resort I might buy it anyway and just use an older (pre-"smart" caching) version... but is it even possible to download one from NI?
