I've tried every combination of settings within the FM7 prefrences, along with different controller types coming from the Pocket dial, but I can't get "jump free" controllers to work right in FM7.

The FM7 manual doesn't say which controller type is supposed to work with this mode. There's "IncDec Ctrl", "Relative Ctrl (signed bit)", or "Relative control (two compl)". To complicate this even more, any of these can be used with or without 'feedback'.

So far, I've only been able to get the jumpy "absolute value" controllers to work properly. Everything else I've tried, either made the FM7 control only move one notch in either direction, or it only worked properly in one direction, with large parameter jumps in the other direction.

I'm pretty sure that the Pocket Dial is supposed to work correctly with FM7. Maybe there's settings within Cubase that I need to change. I have the Pocket Dial hooked up to a 4 port USB MIDI interface, and when I use the "Dump Controllers" button in the FM7's 'prefrences' dialogue box, it isn't sending anything to the Pocket Dial.

Can somone give me a preset number for the Pocket Dial, that's supposed to control FM7 right? Or, tell me what incremental control type is supposed to be used?

P.S. - The Pocket Dial is working as it should, within SoundDiver.

Only certain presets in the Pocket Dial do incremental. Make sure you are on one of those presets and the best way to test FM7 for this, is to run it in stand alone, i will do this when i get home. As i too have the pocket dial, but not cubase.

I need it to work in Cubase, for automation purposes.
