FM7 and Pro53 activation

I recently had to do a clean install of Windows 10. Pro-53 and FM7 had been working before but now it seems whilst I can install it I cannot reactivate the software in Service Center. You are also not providing an offline process either!

I have emailed Native Instruments so-called support and they were no help at all - just a droid repeating the company mantra!

Does anyone have an activation solution please. Like many I have paid for a license that I can no longer use and no upgrade is available for Pro53 (of course I upgraded to FM8 years ago but I actually still find the FM7 interface more intuitive - that's my choice!) . This is unacceptable

Native Instruments. I appreciate this software has not been supported for many years, however this does not detract from the fact that I paid for this license and should be able to activate it on any operating system that it was designed to be used with.

Native Instruments, you need to come up with a better solution than just fobbing people off. As I am not able to activate and use the software I paid for can I have a refund please?

This is just another example of how tech companies treat their users with contempt.

Before you have a go, imagine how you would feel if the company suddenly decided to pull Native Access without offering a solution?

 

As a suggestion, how about offering a activation free version of the plug in. Steinberg did this years ago when they released free, unsupported versions of early VSTis (including Model E) They VST Classics Vol. 1 and 2

 

Service Center is discontinued since May this year. Please use Native Access

 

FM7 cannot be activated with Native Access, you'd have to use FM8 instead. Pro-53 will activate with NA, though.

 

How? I can see my Pro53 in NA - the serial number is showing - but there's no obvious way to activate it.

Actually FM7 I later discovered will activate with just the serial number. Pro53 needs a serial and to be activated. Pain in the a55!

 

You should already have Pro-53 serial in your NI account if you've activated before, NA would see it and activate it. You can try by re-adding the Pro-53 serial into NA and see what happens.

Unsure then. NA had no problems activating Pro-53 over here...

 

Could be to do with Native Instruments discontinuing Service Centre activation and not providing an offline activation process even though I attached am offline Activation file for them to complete. Before I had to reset my pc for another reason it was working well. I have contacted N.I. support and they have been useless. The same thing will likely happen to Native Access in 10 years time. Insufferable

You also can’t save controller maps in demo mode. This is how you get treated when you pay for software. Not a good advert is it. Steinberg’s elicenser system runs rings around this way of doing things

 

No, this has nothing to do with offline activation. It just works over here, I removed my authorization from the registry, and on next load Native Access just reauthorized it without any problems. So, something else seems to be happening on your machine.

I didn’t pay for a DEMO. Maybe an email to Native Instruments’ CEO Daniel will focus the minds of their email support who were of no help in this case and just closed the threads saying the problem was solved when it clearly isn’t! Arrogant beyond compare!

I’m sure there are plenty of jobseekers out there at the moment who could do a better job than these guys did.

Yes it has but still an adequate solution has not been provided. I have to saw I find it an entirely bizarre way to treat users. You are effectively pulling the plug on a previously working set up plugins just to save what probably amounts to pennies.

 

How do you remove the serial from Native Access. If you can remove it and add it again maybe that would rejig something?

 

You cannot remove the serial once it's in your NI account.

When you don't know how the back-end of NI's services is constructed, it's best not making such (incorrect in this case) conjenctures.
