FM8 64 bit is sounding really bad, unlike 32 bit

Release date of the next update is not known. But, it will happen.

So... 2014 for FM8 to be usable w/ Logic X? Some OFFICIAL NEWS from NI would be most welcome.

You stand a better chance of getting a major record label deal then getting any kind of notice of anything from NI!

So is the 64-bit version unusable or is it just with older patches?

It's just with patches which use morphing.

So, Native Instruments updates their website, but still can't update FM8 to fix this and other bugs.

Are they brain-dead or just don't care?

NI just doesn't care about this. Like they don't care about aax 64 bit either or fixing any of the other myriad bugs their product has.

Things are being worked on and updates will be released when they are tested through and ready. That is all I can say. FM8 is not forgotten and AAX2 is not forgotten.

Said it before and I'll say it again - getting sick of that line. Promises, promises, promises - just like a bunch of politicians. I know you've said in the past you're not NI but you sure seem to know a heck of a lot, more than just taking things on faith that stuff will get fixed and delivered like a fanboy.

    I know a lot because I'm a beta tester. :) But that's exactly why I can't specifically mention much.

I thought there was some kind of tie between you and NI and that's why you were sticking up for them and drinking their Kool-Aid.

Heh heh, no Kool-Aid drinking here. I'm not paid to do anything for NI, so why should I give them free advertising? Everything and anything that I state on this forum and elsewhere is entirely my own opinion, I wasn't coerced into giving NI big-ups.

Well there's really no competition for FM8, so it's hard to expect them to hustle a lot. If someone could make competitor I'm sure we'd see more updates. I for one - while annoyed about the lack of support - love this VST.

NI, please make FM8 64bit ready for christ's sake. Logic X is out since the summer. This is just frustrating.

Every major daw is 64 bit now including Pro Tools 11 so there's no reason for NI to drag it's feet on this.
