    I just downloaded the update to FM7, FM8. To me, it's very different. Layout, where things are and so on. Could someone please point me to the link to download the manual for it? I did not see any with the download update. I poked about the NI site for a while and did not find a pdf manual either.

    Look in the documentation folder of your FM8 program folder; there's manuals in four languages there.
