    Lets say I have fiddled around with the various parameters and I want to reset the Patch / Preset to its default.

    Is that possible? I might have added effects to a preset, changed the ARP, the poly from 8 to 6.

    Can I do a reset, so next time I load lets say:

    FM8 Factory -> Piano/Keys -> Grand Piano -> Synthetic -> CCCP-70.

    How do I reset this preset so it is the way it was before I started changing stuff like effects, Polyphony, Unison etc.

    As long as you don't save a preset you can allways "reset" the preset by simply selecting the preset again just like you would do if you changed to a new preset.
    A preset is not changed for good untill you save it. Off coarse a DAW will save the current settings if you save the DAW project, but that don't affect the saved FM8 preset it self.

    FYI.- You can't overwrite a factory preset, but you can save it as a new preset.

    Well. The stuff in the Master section (Polyphony etc) That does not change back when I double click the patch again. Anyway to reset that?

    Yes it's true that some of the parameters in the master section (not all of them) are not stored with the preset. The parameters not stored you can see in the manual under 4.7 Master Window.
    The parameters not stored is volumes, master fine tune and polyphony voices. If you think about it there can be good reasons for those parameters not to be stored, as well as there perhaps can be good reasons they did. But they don't get stored.

    Either always use [Save as] for saving preset changes to a new file name.
    Or maybe write-protect the folder and files of the database path (which can be found under File -> Options -> Database) so these files can't get overwritten

    If I remember correctly File -> Options -> Database -> [Rebuild Database] doesn't reset the presets.
    So you'll need to re-install FM8 in order to get the default preset settings back (in case you have overwritten a default preset).

    No. Not if you have overwritten a preset. You have to have the original. But as said, you can't overwrite a factory preset. If that mysteriously should happen, then you can reinstall FM8.
    Third party presets and your own presets you can overwrite. You need the original for those somewhere to get them back.
    Using "Save as" create a new preset without overwritting the original.
