Thanks for the tips Larserik, definitely worth checking out!

I finally realized you were talking about my forum post title... not my video title! Definitely a clickbaity title... it's been changed. Those responsible for the title have been sacked!

You're welcome. Now that you changed the title here it's best to say that Renoise isn't free software.

So I stumbled on this thread because I am having a very unpleasant time with autosampler.

I have defected from Maschine :( ...never thought I'd buy a modern MPC but I copped a Live II....

Autosampler is a *very* frustrating and inconsistent feature. It ruins half of the patches I run through it.

You can also export your zones as sfz from Renoise, which is handy for most samplers like Falcon, but neither Maschine nor Kontakt 6 support sfz(or mp3 for that matter) which is infuriating:mad: It would make life a lot easier if you could just open the sfz file and you wouldn't need to muck about with zones.

I could not get the MPC Beats autosampler to work with a VST instrument, like many people I got sound from the software keyboard, but the Autosampler never triggered any MIDI notes and only recorded silence (this seems to be a known bug that affects at least some VSTs, possibly related to the software sending all-notes-off messages).

But if you have Reaper, Gestrument's tutorial actually shows how to do it inside it with custom actions - apart from the convenience, you can also render at offline speeds (so potentially much faster than real-time): Create a playable sampler instrument under a minute: Part 1 (Reaper) - Gestrument
