Freeze button locked?

Hi

This has happened to me twice now and I can't figure it out - the freeze button becomes unavailable, and whenever I tap the waveform it adds flag points without me wanting it to.

Does anyone know why this is?

Can you tell me what you did immediately prior to getting this freeze..?

Also please can you try to reproduce this by doing these steps:

Open Hotcue drawer on deck B
Press and Hold Hotcue 5, wait for hold mode to activate
Now Swipe up to open the browser
Load a new track
Touch the Waveform

Let me know if the freeze/hot cue issue occurs.

This has happened to me several times as well. Karlos, your repro steps didn't work, but now that I know about "hold mode", that's definitely the mode it's in when it's stuck.

I see where you're going with the "5" hotcue, as that's easy to hit while trying to swipe the tray up. This *does* only happen while I'm using the swipe-to-open gesture and not when tapping on the Music icon in the top bar, or the album art. And it's always the bottom track, IIRC. But I couldn't force it to happen with any variations of your repro.

A few other things (remembering from last time it happened to me)
- it really does get stuck in this mode, loading new tracks into that deck doesn't clear it
- clicking the Home button and then re-entering the app doesn't clear it
- it will eventually get cleared - after 10 minutes or so I usually check by touching the stuck deck and it's working; not time-based just after I've hit enough stuff on the screen

I'll keep trying to force it...

 

had the same problem like 2 or 3 times.. couldnt reproduce it..

I found that if I held down the Flag button the problem was resolved.

I've also had this issue and could not replicate or resolve without closing and opening the program.

 

I have also seen this problem. It only happened on one channel (B). Very frustrating because once in this mode, I couldn't edit the beat grid or scrub (just drops cue points). It happened about an hour into my set.

 

I have had this problem again a couple of times now. I can confirm the of you hold down the Cue Point "Flag" button it will resolve this problem.

Not ideal but until a preventative fix is implemented at least you can get your normal deck controls back.
