with *new technology* i mean not the new things implemented from version to version, i meant it more general....

this whole digi-vinyl-spinning is how old? 5 years?

this is what i still call new ;)

i don't need to make excuses for anybody - i'm a tfs user since a year and use it very often on gigs.
i don't use cd-players, so i never encountered this problem.

obviously this cue-cd-bug wasn't ocurring/ reproducable during the tests, but since ni is aware of this they are working on a fix, so what else do you expect?

plus... i always said that if you have problems with the support, feel free to pm me and i will try my best to help out.

Does that mean that FS2 owners will get 2.6 for free?

I dont own 2.5 just FS2....so that would be great if I could get 2.6 for free that may make up for all the waiting.

Please let us know if that is what you meant.

it's free for all traktor 2.5 users and for fs2 users that made the trade-in (afaik).

I'm just saying, here's the copy from the Traktor page in case you forgot:

    Version 2.6 coming soon.

Right at the top. It's been exactly the same since the original announcement and throughout the release push backs. So, forgive me if I'm a bit cynical.

As far as the "free" thing goes, I'm glad you brought that up. Personally, I would have paid $50 for the update if it shipped when it was originally supposed to (that would have cost me about $2 a gig over that time period). Hell, I would very likely pay that if it came out today. I for one, am not here looking for a handout and I don't think that most of these guys who paid $600 for FS2 are either. I pay for my software and have no problem with it as it's a tool I use to make money.

Now, if there are problems which should have been addressed long ago, then I don't see how your saying that it's "free" is any defense to that. I mean, that's like saying "here's a broken piece of crap in exchange for your hard earned money, we're going to fix it to work right in the future but we'll do it when we're damn well ready to--oh, and BTW you should be happy when we DO release it".

If you think that many of us here are just clamoring for the new icecast support (for example) and that's why we're bitching about the speed of the update then I think you're way off base. I know I'm waiting for the update to see if Traktor will finally use a reasonable amount of system resources and to see if some of the bugs that have been hanging around for a long time are gone.

In fact, maybe if NI did start charging for relatively FREQUENT incremental upadates (e.g. once every six months) then they would take this product seriously. Personally, that's something that I would be GLAD to pay for...

I agree 1000% with gmint's post. I think the icecast comment is also on point as I also could care less about icecast support, beatport support etc. All I really want is bug fixes and WMA support, could care less about the rest and it should not take a freaking year for a bug fix / optimization update!

makes me think that it's no wonder this thing flew under the radar at NAMM they were no where near ready to release the thing. All this talk of releasing soon / coming soon etc etc is a load of B.S. I'm sure many of the boards would rather get more frequent incremental updates with fixes and small usefull feature such as WMA/ACC support than waiting and waiting and waiting for them to add all the extra crap (icecast, beatport etc) that really mean little in real world club use. If you are spinning live in a club lets face it your probably not gonna use icecast or beatport unless your a big gambler / risk taker, I'm fairly sure using those features can only lead to a hit on system resources and the strong possibility of a system crash, a lock up or a stutter of some sort that no one wants or needs in a club setting. At home goof'n around sure icecast is probably a fun feature to experiment with but what is this a toy or a pro piece of software?

    People,

    I adore you !
I see the most of you here for quite a while , and there are two major options:
    1.we are all masochists
    2. we are just a bunch of suckers who buy the stupid stories of Stanton/NI.
    3.both answers correct.

I mean, keep buying FS is like being a fan of a poor soccer or football team, you know they suck, the players are awful, but you still buy season ticket every year...

I have to say FS2 has officialy crossed the red lines.
How come a major software company like NI releases such a lame software, full of so many bugs that only Windows millenium edition has more bugs in history than that.

It's unbeleivable that SSL made in few months what FS hasn't done in 4 (!) years.
Since i tried FS2 i thinking more and more of moving to SSL, actually , i don't understand why i stayed with FS so far, i guess the hope of FS2 kept me here.

I DON'T intend to buy FS2, even if it's price was half, .
I don't understand so many stupid things in the way NI/Stanton treat us, that i won't even start to count them.

I'ts even a bit funny to see NI/Stanton trying so hard while we all know that SSL in it's 1.5 version (whenever it will be) will be so much better than FS4.

A friend of mine explained it very simple: Would you buy, as a proffesional d.j, a mixer from stanton ?, maybe a turntable ? , cd player ??? NO ! i wouldn't, because their products sucks. so is FS...:(

Would you buy (if you could afford) a RANE product ? - you know the answer...:thumb:

Stanton has been , and probably will stay an entry level products company, so why do we expect proffesional products from them ?

At the day SSL inteface will be a bit friendlier i will buy it and will never ever buy a piece of crap from stanton.

The big difference between poor team and lame product is that you'll never replace your team with another but you will replace the lame product if there are others better and cheaper...

Thanks for contributing nothing to this forum... if I'm a post whore then you must me be a "useless post whore". If your not going to buy FS2 then get the **** of this forum and stop wasting peoples time so they dont have to read your useless ****.

EDIT: If you got TS2.5 then you may stay and continue to post your useless comments.

How many is that already...... :shout:

How much longer do we have to wait :shout:

A friend of mine is lending me SSL in a week or so, so I can do a comparison between FS2 and SSL that will be posted on my site. I sure would hate for FS2 to be a "no show"

Well either way a review with the truth will be posted with what is available at the time from both products.

I know SSL just realease 1.3 and it has some nice improvements.

There are only 10 more days left in February, decision time coming up very soon.... :p

    what truth?

on the one hand you say you're nothing but a hater, so i'm really asking myself how objective you'll be.

on the other hand, if you had ever read this forum, you will find alot of people that have no problems with their tfs, including me.

besides that... the thread goes totally OT, therefore:
