Will Maschine be full compatible with Windows 8 or are there already any known issues?

No problem, everything that runs on vista/7 runs on 8.

That's not true for Windows RT (Windows for ARM Tablets) wich can only run windows store apps.

While that may be true for most apps, that's not necessarily the case for devices, or for software that uses drivers for DRM.

I've got two audio interfaces that work on Windows 8, but operate at 20-40% reduced capacity, whereas my two other interfaces operate more or less the same on Win 8 as on Win 7. Also, I own a number of Waves plugins, and I could not get the Waves licensing system to work at all on Win 8. (I've also heard from guys who upgraded to Win 8 and experienced a lot more pops and dropouts on their audio interfaces in day-to-day operation, evidence of driver problems.)

Until more vendors officially support Windows 8, whether it works okay on your gear or not is a little bit of a gamble.

All that said, while I haven't tried getting Maschine to work on Win 8, the device is technically just a USB MIDI controller, and NI Service Center seems to work on Win 8, so I don't anticipate real problems there.

Just make sure to have a working backup or separate partition of your Win 7 image before testing Win 8.

Waves plugs typically always require an update for a new OS.
The problem will be if you don't have a WUP you will have to pay to get it. :(

Me personally I won't be looking at 8 unless I purchase a new computer that comes with it and right now that's highly unlikely.

i tried maschine on the win 8 beta that microsoft let me try and it crashed loads as did cubase 6.5 both didnt run very well on it..ableton live ran fine but i had issues with some vsts too.
win 8 is made with graphics and touchscreens as the main concept and my mate who works for microsoft even has a xbox 360 console with win 8 installed on it and it runs very smoothly on it but for audio applications it just wasnt stable enough in my testing and my mate agrees.
ive not used the latest build of win 8 though so who knows.

but id still hold of updating until more sites agree its ok to upgrade i for one will not be upgrading.

Windows 7 has worked flawlessly for me. I will upgrade when something I want to use requires me to.
