I want to get buy Komplete 10 upgrade from 9. However I have already bought Rise and Hit, Session Horns Pro and Action strikes separately during the year.
So the deal I'm getting, whilst still good, does not reward me for buying these NI products as they were released. I will certainly think twice before buying any further separates and just wait till Komplete 11, which is not in your best interests NI.

So come on NI, you need to look after your premier customers a little better with a further discount to take account of our support for you.

So you're admitting you got a good deal from your purchase but you're still whining? It's no secret that NI usually introduces new versions of Komplete during September/October. Indeed, you should have thought twice before buying these products.

    Amen.

But still no Komplete 10 Ultimate upgrade or crossgrade sales...

I understand what you two are saying about doing research before buying, and the finality of completing a purchase even if it's half price the day after, but NI already offer crossgrade discounts so one could imagine they could be a little more flexible for existing customers - Then we wouldn't be in this situation that savvy customers will only buy their bundle deals, and always wait until they go on offer (sure Waves does it, but they have a keen marketing strategy for constantly turning over sales).

It's a shame I would like a Rise and hit & session horns, but not separate. I can wait until an upgrade sale Komplete 11 Ultimate, though.

I would prefer NI put their resources into improving their products and creating new tools than trying to figure out who bought what product and how much of a discount to give them when they buy Komplete.

    Hi Setvice,

I think your right and NI does manage to do this (more adequately than some other big names), however companies such as Softube are in my experience very easy to get in contact with and negotiate problems technical or otherwise. Part of the problem with NI seems to be that they largely remain silent for offers, further information on announcements and technical problems; leaving people such as myself guessing when is best to invest a lot of money into an update to their software, knowing they may throw a big sale or release a new version 2 months down the line. This year I have a better feel for their sales and update cycle and thus can plan a large procurement, but new buyers likely won't.

Equally if NI didn't sell Komplete as a bundle, or crossgrades etc where they have covered some but not all their products well, then customers wouldn't have this choice to face and would just buy what they want when they want.
