KK is an amazing product idea, especially the sound search part. It is something I was wishing of for many years ago, and couldn’t believe it when NI actually made such amazing product.
But after all these years there was very little what was updated and fixed in KK, seems like for NI it’s on the bottom of the priorities list.
And knowing NI history of dropping great products like Kore, I’m fearing the worst for KK.

It has been confusing... the lack of progress in Komplete Kontrol.. standalone or plugin.

it seems to me that this piece of software is the key to the entire NI kingdom. The centerpiece of engagement for most NI users for most NI products.

And with how NI now describes their future, it seems that this should be even MORE the case.

KK not going anywhere. Nothing to fear.

Not afraid of KK disappearing.... but it has been playing second fiddle to Maschine...and that has been a mistake in my opinion. KK should be the key product that serves the broader user base.

Then how come there’s such lack of updates and fixed for KK ?

They are busy working on VST3 roll outs, Windows 11 compatibility, macOS M1 compatibility etc. KK works fine for 'most' people. I have no issues with my two KK keyboards (88MKII and 49MK1) with Logic Pro on Big Sur, for example; or with Windows 10 with a 49MKII running intel NUC.

Simple math: why would they abandon it while still making keyboards, drum machine controllers, and a huge worldwide adoption of the NKS format for plugins?
